  1. Hi, I have just returned to X-Plane after a long break and wonder whether I missed the update announcement?
  2. I got a weird email today and wonder whether this is legit and related to this? Actually, looks more like Phishing attempt :-( ?
  3. Great news! meanwhile I will try the DIY approach
  4. hello! Is it possible to get a tiny update to this aircraft to have the new GPS/GNS340 in the Cockpit? Thank you
  5. Awesome News! But how to get it? Are the torrents actually seeded anywhere? the flightsim tracker gives a "could not connect". Going to try a zip file now ...
  6. Which leaves me with two unassigned axes - not so simple. But thank you for the suggestion, it's something to start with. So again my question (which was buried in a rant and apparently hard to find): Request for enhancement: Can you add a warning popup before quitting x-plane? thank you Jens
  7. hi, the aircraft is great and the documentation explains it's usage well, even the annoying Joystick stuff. Thanks for that. But the Joystick stuff is annoying as hell nevertheless. Maybe it's my brain but I forgot now several times to change plane before quitting X-Plane with the known result of configuration loss. Can't you put in a warning before X-Plane quits to switch aircraft? Or get rid of this configuration messing altogether? Being a non-native speaker, I don't fully understand why this messing with my Joystick config is necessary at all Thank you Jens
  8. Should have read this before I bought the E300, sigh The E300 recently available at the x-plane.org store does not work when the gizmo plugin is installed which in turn is required to run the Falco, the C400 etc. Sad story about those incompatibilities. And no, restarting X-plane with a certain plugin removed is not an option that i would consider for payware stuff (Gizmo came as part of payware aircraft). does not necessarily mean it's without issues. What about Gizmo having a bug that only becomes obvious if another add-on tries to interact with X-plane in a certain way? Have you ever considered? Why is gizmo not a per-aircraft plugin in the first place? It would greatly reduce the possibility for a conflict since it would not run when not used by an aircraft. There seem to be people who care about those incompatibilities. They have provided detailed analysis on the incompatibilities to the gizmo developers. At least that's what I have been told. PM please if you need contact information. If only everybody would come out of this "it's the others fault" habit and work together on a solution ... otherwise customers might get the wrong idea and leave ... Jens
  9. I opened one of the Carenado in planemaker 10 just to change the default livery and save. And after that the gear doors would stay open in X-Plane 10 demo... Gesendet von meinem Nexus S mit Tapatalk
  10. Hint for getting it to work in Firefox 4 var parent_api_name = node.innerText ? node.innerText : node.textContent;
  11. Hi, haven't flown the Corvalis in quite some time. And it happened again: PFD got stuck like shown in first post screenshot. Worst part about this is that one cannot go back and set proper autopilot source (NAV1/2/FMS). This is with the aircraft version 1.2 Still not sure how to reproduce exactly. Today I loaded the C400. Initially the PFD did work. I jumped around a few airports, each time the plane would reload of course. Then I started an actual flight and when operating the left screen it happened Jens

    Cannot watch it :-(
  13. Hm, nobody asked the obvious question yet: how much will it hurt performance? On x-plane.org is an enhanced New Zealand mesh available that hits FPS seriously (at least on my computer) Good luck
  14. Hello and thanks for looking into the issue. But It still does not work very well. I had my aircraft positioned at 01MT from the last X-Plane session. So I run REXPlane and enter 01MT to get the current weather: I get the empty "Possible alternative stations" screen and the "REX ... requires an internet connection ..." error message. I tried about 20 other airports/airfields in this area. Only with CYXC I finally get some weather data. But the "Alternatives" screen still remains in front and blocks the app. Looks like an issue with the front end/GUI? There are lots of small airfields like 01MT in North America that probably do not have own metar data and therefore I would not call them "isolated issues". Getting close alternative weather reports is mportant there. Looking forward to an update :-) Jens
  15. hi, Just installed the 1.1 update. I fired up x-plane and did load the C400 to check it out. Then I went back to the Falco 1.2. Turn on battery and avionics, then the GPS: pitch-black :-( Would be cool if at least all x-aviation products played well together, there is still some room for improvement :-) Jens
  16. yes, this way round is working fine. thank you all for listening. looking forward to the coming updates :-) EDIT What do you think about the GPS in the SeaMax, that sometimes becomes completely inoperative? Similar issue that would get fixed by your plugin modifications? Jens
  17. Hello and thanks. SeaMax is indeed working well in 9.50. At least if it is loaded right from the beginning. Only when some other aircrafts have been used in the same X-Plane session, the GPS issue happens again, see http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php?topic=779.msg6199#msg6199
  18. Some time ago I asked about a similar issue with the SeaMax http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php?topic=608.msg4825#msg4825. After posting this question It seemed to have solved itself magically. But right now after toying with C400 and Falco, I cannot get the GPS in the SeaMax to work and the transponder cannot get turned on. Now, I quit and restart X-Plane (with SeaMax loaded), turn on the battery and all works fine again. Having to restart X-Plane to switch aircraft is not that big issue but somewhat annoying nevertheless Some weird things are going on here ... good luck figuring out solutions Jens
  19. I'm talking about the Sequoia Falco. with a clean start it looks like this coming from the C400, everything left turned on and Lights full bright I get this in the Falco. The GPS is actually brighter than before. Again, coming from the C400. Have not changed the light settings in the C400 but turned avionics and battery off I get this in the Falco If by rhetostat you are talking about the two knobs on the left in the Falco cockpit, those change only the ambient light. They do not seem to change the brightness of the LCD display/GPS? Are there some other knobs I'm missing?
  20. So, it's an x-plane bug? Since the aircrafts are already using plug-ins, could they perhaps take care for themselves that the electronic stuff works as intended?
  21. hello, I run into another issue with the C400 and wonder whether anybody can try to reproduce this: I fly the C400 (or simply load it) and then put it to rest, turn off engines, turn down the lights and turn off avionics switches and battery. Then I load the Falco, turn on Battery, start the engines, turn on avionics switch and all instruments: the instruments remain dark. Looking closer at the GPS unit, I can see that it goes from the photograhic picture with the light reflection to completely dark. So I reloaded the C400 again, turned on everything and loaded the Falcon, this time the instruments light up after switching them on. Seems reproducible here, anybody else care to try this? Jens
  22. Ups, yes. Same here This makes the Log.txt grow very rapidly. Perhaps the reason for the issues people are having after a certain time? My flights seem to be always somewhat shorter ... Jens
  23. I could not reproduce it until now, but somebody else seems to have this issue too. Please see http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php?topic=736.msg6000#msg6000 Jens
