You loaded the SeaBee, which loaded SASL. Gizmo was already loaded. Boom, you're dead. Long standing known issue. Fix: Disable Gizmo before starting X-Plane. Next! Of course Ben is probably right... as this is a known issue... but why wasn't it happening in snow leopard? Soooooo.... again... if you want to be sure.... do some clean diagnostics... download the demo and test it out... we can proceed from there.
-
Or... maybe he should download the XP demo and see if it will work. Then we will have a baseline to work from... everything else is just a guess.
-
Download the demo of XP and see if that will run.

I wish it was that simple

I am still working on this and have narrowed it down somewhat. Can you give the the four waypoints that were part of you flight plan? Jim

Hey, I'm not sure where you sent your support requests but they should go to ... http://www.x-aviation.com/catalog/contact_us.php X-Aviation has a superb reputation for response time to support issues. Your complaints are unfounded. It is very possible that the X-Aviation responses have not gotten through to your e-mail. In any event please send another e-mail to X-Aviation at the above link and I will also contact them to make them aware that they should expect it. Jim -
The X-Aviation installer for the Corvalis will place ALL THE FILES in the proper place as long as you follow the directions. The installer will ask you what the "X-Plane" folder is that you want to install the aircraft in. This IS NOT a sub-folder, such as the "aircraft" or "general aviation" folders. Pay particular attention... You need to choose the main "X-Plane" folder and all will be installed correctly! Also... DO NOT move the files once they are installed or things will not work right. Marlon, There is no ADF "gauge" per se. You can program an NDB into the FMS as part of a flight plan. Jim

Thank you also! I'm glad to hear you're having fun with the Corvalis. Jim

Can't help you with the Simavio issues, sorry. There really should be no difference between running the Corvalis on Windows or OSX. I can only track this down (the flight director issue) if you can provide specific steps that can recreate the problem. Jim

This is under investigation.

rddaos, I'm not sure where that error is coming from but it is not from the Corvalis. Jim

If you want a license key for your windows partition contact Cameron at X-Aviation.

I agree. They are my two favorite planes and I just got their features mixed up for a second. I am pretty sure that the moving map on the MFD can display runways. This is what I could come up with on the net: simbabeat and Oliver, I see now what you are referring to.... again.. this is outside the standard XP database but I will keep it in mind. Jim Yeah I'm aware it's outside the standard XP norms, I was just trying to clarify what simbabeat was talking about Which is why I said that "I see now what you are referring to." ;D

JGregory Corvalis was actually .... over 2 years.... just sayin'.... Anyone that says a developer has "given up" obviously doesn't have a clue what it takes to create an aircraft, sorry if that's harsh. Jim

Yes, SafeTaxi. Also, isn't there a feature on the MFD that when the range knob is all the way on 0.5m that that it can display little outlines of runways? I may be thinking of something else... Sorry I was thinking of the Cirrus G1000. It's a feature exclusive to that version of the g1000. It's like this: note the PFD and the MFD. I often get the Cirrus SR22 and the C400 mixed up so nevermind about that. Cheers Simbabeat, So... • A possible version of SafeTaxi in the future.... • You said... "Also, isn't there a feature on the MFD that when the range knob is all the way on 0.5m that that it can display little outlines of runways?" Again, I'm not sure what you mean... please post a picture if you can. • I'm not sure that even the Cirrus camera is a "factory" option... it may be a third party add-on. In any event it is definitely not available for the Corvalis I never get the Cirrus and Corvalis mixed up.. there are considerable differences, which in my opinion make the Corvalis a much better aircraft. but that's just me Also.. Cessna has announced that the Corvalis TTx with the Garmin G2000 will be available in 2012... much more advanced than the Cirrus... check it out here... http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php?topic=1953.0 Jim

Hi Jim, Sorry if I'm chiming in a little late on this but I'm a pretty recent customer of the Corvalis. My main request would be more expansion of the MFD. I would like to see more features of the G1000 such as visualizing the runways on the MFD or looking up the ILS frequencies on the MFD so we wouldn't have to go into the local map to know them. Also another thing I would like is a taxiing camera just like the real Corvalis. And if I'm not mistaken, that could be extremely easy to implement as it is pretty much a default instrument. And of course, If you want to really make us happy, the G1000 synthetic vision would be amazing!!! Just my two cents Hi simbabeat, Ultimately I would like an "exact" replication of the G1000. Can it be done... maybe. I will continue to develop the Corvalis/G1000 with that goal in mind. Specifically, you mentioned "visualizing the runways on the MFD", or what Garmin calls "SafeTaxi®". We don't have a database of airport layouts available to match this feature exactly but I have something in mind that may work... stay tuned. Procedures and Airport/Navigation frequencies are definitely something I would like to include, again... stay tuned. You also mentioned "a taxiing camera just like the real Corvalis." This is news to me. Can you show me a picture or video of this feature because I have never seen a Corvalis (from the factory) with a camera. Ahhh yes, synthetic vision.... This would be really difficult to replicate exactly as Garmin has done it... so... no...not in the near future, sorry Maybe a variation at some point. Thanks for your input... I'm always open to suggestions. Jim

*** This issue has been resolved. *** Anyone who is running OSX 10.5.X will need an update. In addition the .png problem with the "TRAFFIC" and "TERRAIN" Softkeys as well as the MFD NavSTat window have been fixed for ALL users. Cameron has reset all download links. If you wish to update just download the Corvalis 1.3 update again and all should be well. Jim

Thanks Zach. At this point if you were to upgrade your operating system on the iMac to 10.6 you would have no problems. I am still looking into this as the plugin should run on almost "any" mac system regardless of version. I will get back to you. Jim
-
Zach, What OS and version are you running on your laptop? Jim
-
No problem... Enjoy the aircraft! Jim

If you are using the FMS then the ETE is shown in the upper right of the Navigation Status Box of the MFD. This indicates the Estimated Time Enroute for the current leg. Jim

Because this version of the Corvalis does not have VNAV capability. Jim
