  1. With Mike's help I was able to track down the issues he mentioned. These have all been corrected and should be part of the update.
  2. To clear everything up…. The 340A "Service Ceiling" is 31000 feet. The 340A "Maximum Operating Altitude" is 25000 feet.
  3. Repetition is how people retain information, especially when the subject becomes diluted by conflicting posts.
  4. No debate … just want to be sure users understand that they CAN set the IAS using the bug.
  5. The aircraft will respond to changes in the "selected" airspeed if there is enough power available. Whether the aircraft can achieve the "desired" airspeed is, of course, partly due to the throttle position, however CaptainGlick never stated what his throttle position was, so, one cannot not assume it is strictly a throttle problem. In any event, stating … "You do realize that changing the speed bug has no effect on the IAS speed, right?" … is not correct (as I stated) because the bug absolutely does set the "desired" airspeed when in IAS mode. I wanted to make sure users of the Saab were clear on this, that is all.
  6. As the aircraft has been on the market for over 4 months and NO ONE else has reported this as an issue, I would suggest that you are doing something wrong. Not completely correct… when you set the bug on the airspeed indicator you are also setting the selected speed for the autopilot IAS mode.

  8. Not according to the screenshot you posted. There are many things you could still turn down/off…. number of objects, cloud detail, texture resolution, etc. However, with the graphics card you have, I'm not sure you'll get to the level of performance that you want/need. I'm pretty sure that the graphics card you have is not replaceable.
  9. Mick, Your graphics card is a serious limitation for X-Plane. You should turn down (or off) most of your render settings and then slowly increase each one until you find the sweet spot.
  10. You still haven't told us what your frame rates are.
  11. What are your frame rates?
  12. Thought you guys may enjoy some of these... http://airfactsjournal.com/2013/09/7-instrument-approaches-you-have-to-see-to-believe/
  13. Martin, Here's the situation… When dealing with relays there is a "chain if events" so to speak. So, when you shut off the left generator, several relays are opened… and this is not instantaneous. The reset of the fuel used is "getting caught" in the process between the generator relay opening and the bus-tie closing. I have a method to fix this but I cannot say when it will get done. In the meantime, I would suggest you note your fuel used prior to shutting of the generator.
  14. Martin, Can you describe what scenario requires you to turn off the right generator, except at the end of a flight? Just curious.
  15. There needs to be a valid DME signal in order to display ground speed. The fuel used system requires power from the Right Main Bus or it will reset. When you have a "new" subject to discuss, please start a new thread. These latest questions have nothing to do with the airspeed indicator.
  16. The "envelope" parameters to trigger a Mode 1 (Excessive sink rate) GPWS warning are as follows: The envelope "border" is a linear line… FROM: 0 feet (radio altitude) at 900 fpm descent rate TO : 2500 feet (radio altitude) at 5200 fpm descent rate. I have checked the system code for GPWS Mode 1 and it looks correct to me. If you feel that you are "outside" of these envelope parameters and still getting a warning, please let me know. As far as I know there is no way to disable the warning in the real aircraft, but I will check with our real world Saab pilots.
  17. We do not have a chart for that configuration.
  18. AJ, There is no way to disable the aural warnings. I am curious though… .could you explain further what you mean by: "There are situations when for example sink rate is set below the value for aural warning initiation".
  19. This is a known issue. The fix will be in the next update.
  20. Martin, Thanks for reporting this issue. You were right… there was a bug in the pressurization system that was not opening the outflow valve when the aircraft is on the ground. However, just to be clear… please refer to Pg. 163 of the Systems Manual, Pre-pressurization Mode, where it describes how, when the outflow valve is closed, the system WILL allow for pressurization to 140 feet below actual cabin altitude. So, during taxi and the takeoff roll you may see the cabin rate drop when the system engages (PL beyond 64 degrees).
  21. Does this happen every time you use the Saab ? Are you using external hardware or other plugins for radio tuning? It may just have been a one-time "glitch". I tested the radios and could not even tune those frequencies...
  22. Martin, I will check the logic when I get a chance.
  23. I'm not sure what this means… What is a mouse indicator ? Do you mean the cursor changes? and…. how can you see the bug moving if they remain in the same position ?
  24. This project will be following several others. We have nothing to report.
  25. The checklists have not been changed
