  1. Paul, Thanks for reporting this. We will get this fixed and out to you guys in the near future. In the meantime, this should not be an issue if you use the Pilot's side for WXR.
  2. You should be able to bring in a stock instrument and it will light, yes. That probably won't work in the aircraft you posted above because the file appears to be corrupted. Use a new ACF and you should be ok.
  3. I believe it's more of a general advisory. ' BTW... I noticed some of your (stock) instrument textures are incorrectly named. Specifically, you had the ASI texture as "ASI_adap_177RG.png". These names MUST follow the same naming convention as those that are in the root X-Plane folder (X-Plane/Resources/bitmaps/cockpit/" and cannot be renamed. Whatever you include in your own aircraft will override the stock textures but must have the same folder structure and file names. Generic instruments can be named whatever you like.
  4. You have several problems with the aircraft, which I don't think are fixable. If you go into Planemaker and click on the "sad face" icon, the problem instruments will be highlighted. In your case it is almost all of them!. I'm pretty sure that the file is corrupted beyond repair. Best advice would be to start fresh, sorry.
  5. Kris, I believe we have found a possible issue where this may occur. It is possible that if you have you hardware setup for other aircraft they are setting some X-Plane datarefs inappropriately. As a workaround I would disconnect the hardware prior to using the Saab. There are some fixes in the next update that should resolve this issue.
  6. You have not given enough information to diagnose your problem. The best would be to zip up the aircraft folder and post it here. Short of that we're shooting in the dark.

  8. You really should contact the vendor (Simarket) where you purchased the product. The installer use by X-Aviation (supported here) is not the same.
  9. Exactly, it's your opinion, not an accurate description of the facts. When you click on a navaid it will show data related to that navaid (the radial and other data) with respect to the position of the aircraft your flying. That's how it was designed and there is nothing "random" about it. You may not like it, but it is certainly not a bug, nor is it unconventional. It's the same for ALL navaids on the local map. What you are "requesting" is for X-Plane to display the Approach Course for an ILS on the local map. That would be considered something completely different and a "new" feature, which you can request from Laminar if you like.
  10. You said... "Open a bug report, it's the only way to have it possibly fixed." Suggesting that something be "fixed" insinuates that it is broken, or a "bug". That is NOT the case in this situation. If you or he want simply want an "explanation", you can always e-mail one of the people at Laminar although I believe the explanation has already been outlined above. My point is that if it is not a "bug", then you shouldn't file a bug report.

  12. It's not a bug! The map always shows the radial you are on with reference to the navaid. It's by design. To properly fly an ILS you need the chart anyway. It makes no sense to have the map show the radial for the ILS.
  13. Bryan, It sounds like you have used the large FMS knob to change the "page" of the flight plan that is visible. If you click on the left side of the LARGE knob (LARGE arrow) you can go back a page and on the right side of the knob to go forward. This is a common mistake as there are two concentric knobs (large and small)

  16. The blinds are set randomly when the aircraft is loaded. After that you can move them to any position... just grab the blind and drag. We will not be providing a feature to "remember" the position(s) from the last session.
  17. My point was that your comments had NOTHING to do with the topic of THIS thread, which was about power back. The fact that the video shows an FMS has nothing to do with power back !! You making a comment about the FMS in the video is OFF TOPIC for this thread.
  18. Brad, I do not use the Arduino stuff, so I can't comment directly on that. However, if you want to "control" the taxi light in the Saab you can only do that by using the custom command (similar to mapping a button or key). If you want to know the status of the taxi light switch then you can monitor the X-Plane DataRef "sim/cockpit2/switches/taxi_light_on". However, you can not write to that DataRef as it is controlled by the Saab plugin.
  19. Sam, The TOPIC was whether the Saab from XA can be "powered back". Your first post was this... Your second post was this... Your third post was this... An FMS has NOTHING to do with being able to power back the Saab! So, I am sure you can see why we don't understand your point. Please explain to me which of your posts is ON TOPIC.
