  1. I don't have any info on installer errors just yet, as it installs correctly on all my platforms, but: Gizmo is not the problem. It is perfectly normal that Gizmo search to see if a plane has a license, so please disregard this as a whole if you come across it in your log.txt files!
  2. Hello all! The Take Command! CRJ-200 shown in the Work In Progress section of this forum has been released and can be purchased here: http://www.x-aviation.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=68 The Work In Progress section for the CRJ-200 has been changed to a read-only forum, and all new topics regarding the scenery should be posted in the support section here: http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php?board=25.0 Enjoy this incredible new aircraft!
  3. This product has now been released! Please see the following topic for more info: http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php?topic=2093.0
  4. Hi, Rich, With X-Plane being as cheap as $29, I think it would actually be a good choice to get it and get acquainted to the keystrokes. It's a much different paradigm than MSFS, but a GREAT one! We're more than happy to help you with questions, learning the ins and outs, and showing you around the world of X-Plane add-ons. It's also important to not that many sceneries CAN be converted from MSFS with a few simple clicks. Looking forward to seeing you around!
  5. Think it's okay considering the guy is enthusiastic about the 737 project and it seems to be the factor that has made him look into X-Plane. Welcome, bigtallman!
  6. Almost 6am. Seems like I never do at times when I pull these all day/nighters. Please do keep us posted with results!
  7. Normal, as stated by the installer if you already have it installed. Your setup appears more than capable for this aircraft. This is very odd, Simon. Let's start with the basics: 1. Run the CRJ Tester Installer. 2. When installing the C++ package, this time select to remove it. 3. After installation of the tester is finished, restart your computer. 4. Once your computer has booted back up, run the installer again. This time it should proceed with a regular C++ install without asking you to repair or remove. 5. Run the tester. If this fails, please report back here and send your log.txt file in your main X-Plane folder to me in a PM attachment.
  8. How is that so? Don't you have a relatively modern i7 setup, Simon?
  9. About the only time I've truly seen a difference is with panel night lighting.
  10. This topic has been moved to General Discussion. [iurl]http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php?topic=2054.0[/iurl]
  11. Better to be safe than sorry! Glad you ran the test, Steven. Thanks for the report!
  12. And so I shall not. Perhaps if you were more privy to the ins and outs of what it takes to do any of this stuff I'd feel more inclined. In all reality, it would be like beating a dead bush. Some things just won't click, and we can definitely agree to disagree. I'll leave it with an acronym in response to your suggestion of sour tastes in a customer's mouth, and the success of a product: PMDG No need! People can make and come up with their own conclusions.
  13. There's nothing hostile in what I said. Choosing your words better would have helped. That said, I feel the topic you request to be read chalks up to your own impatience (with all due respect), and there's really not much to be said about it. They came from Bombardier. Some airlines have a different SOP with added procedures in comparison. For that, I can't say whether "any" will match. They will all certainly have the same basis from Bombardier, and have added info from there.
  14. You were instructing someone to do something. Not acceptable. As Javier has stated, when he announced RC-1, he estimated 1 month or so from that day. This is still on that schedule. You are off base at the moment. Hope and promise are two very different things. Please use the right words.
  15. This is definitely NOT your place to be saying something like that...
  16. Hi, Charles, Running the installer on Linux is something we most certainly need (not for the tester) for the aircraft itself, as there is one thing in the installer for Linux that is necessary and different than that of the Mac and PC. I'll investigate the issues you had. We've had a number of downloads thus far, so I'm assuming most others had the necessary libraries. Best, Cameron
  17. Hi, Charles, Thanks for the update. No, it simply does just that for Linux machines.
  18. Hi, Charlie, Are you on a 32-bit or 64-bit machine/os? Cameron
  19. Hi, Henry, As indicated in my post, no, this has little to no bearing on what you can expect performance wise. I'm glad to hear you could see it on the MacBook Air though!
  20. It means we'd like you to test your system.
  21. Hello, all, I have just completed pushing up a new page for a CRJ-200 Hardware Diagnostic. In short, this is a test aircraft with a plug-in that will tell you whether the CRJ will even work on your hardware. Throughout some tests, we have found some older hardware that just doesn't make the cut and will not be able to run the CRJ displays. As such, we have created this tester for you. This does NOT indicate smooth frame rates, or anything of that nature. This test will simply tell you whether your hardware has the ability to even run the CRJ based on your GPU, CPU, and associated drivers! There are testers available for Mac, Windows, and Linux here: http://www.x-aviation.com/catalog/crj_test.php Please follow all instructions as indicated in the installer! Good Luck!
