  1. Well, that's telling. Considering Ben NEVER made any kind of mention that Froogle was trying to save cash to purchase more toys. You really read it that far wrong? I mean, the comment was pretty direct, so this is a head scratcher... You don't have to buy it, but you'll be lying to yourself in the meantime. This may be the most assinine comment of the day. The dispute is not about the original purpose of this topic. You know where it went, no matter the path. It is your thought process as to what I am conveying to you that is off. Don't mince words. There's a reason I distinguished with the word "point" and not "thread."
  2. No, I'm not. This is your own failure to be objective and see the bigger picture of where someone like Ben is coming from. Froogle can see it. Why can't you? There was no warning to anyone with the exception of the three of you who decided to name call. In this instance, your choice of words was to call Ben a "dick". Um what? I have equally stated that I understand Froogle's position and original intention. The original focus here has obviously been drawn to Ben. I needn't discuss a whole lot of the other side for very logical reasons. You really need to re-assess your thoughts on this. Thus far, they are 10 degrees too far off center of intended point.
  3. This topic is 15 months old.
  4. Please read the thread. You genuinely don't have to look far.
  5. Sorry, man, but are you bored or something? Please don't resurrect buried posts in multiple replies. Either read the entire thread and culminate your response in a single post, or let it be. There's 69 posts in here and your pulling up the dinosaur age.
  6. My post was not directed at you, and if you even wanted to keep up with any of this you would already know that I have actively participated in the other venue. Perhaps you should re-read my post with regards to how I would respond to the rest of your post. This isn't about taking sides or justification.
  7. That's a choice you make, not me. Feel free. The partisan talk is rubbish, and if you do not have the ability to take your feelings out of the equation I cannot help that. I didn't shed my opinion in this thread. I objectively answered this topic and posts. If you want to take it further, go ahead. You'll certainly hear my $0.02.
  8. Seriously. Of course, I have through personal dealings, but to assume that everyone has is not exactly realistic.
  9. I'm not going to start a debate about how to start a topic; we just don't need to. Everyone is going to have varying opinions here, and in the end all of you have to live with your own comments to a degree. As many of of you well know Ben is more cut and dry, and he had no problem explaining the type of day he was already having, but he did take the time to warn of such. You can factor that in however which way you want. As much as you may disagree and harbor the stance that this felt like "discrediting the guy as a nobody looking for some free software", that's one way to interpret it, but looking at the bigger picture objectively it is NOT what the point of Ben's statements were. I don't even have to watch that video twice to know why Ben immediately responded the way he did, and I also don't have to watch it twice to understand where Froogle is coming from. There are potentially better ways "always" when it comes to saying your piece. Let me put it this way (objectively): Froogle could have stated his side a bit less authoritatively as to who he is and why he should be 'used' in his video. This rubbed some wrong, and immediately got the reaction from some in the way that Froogle is "not as big as he seems." In that sense, it's easy to misinterpret the statement about subscription levels and the answer to prayers as a means of entitlement because of who Froogle may be. As a consumer, this does not rub someone like you the same way it may rub a developer who has been working 3+ years on a particular product(s). 15,000 subscribers is great. The exposure is welcome, but if we're going to sit down and be realistic we'll also say it's not going to be the wave that breaks the flood gates either, and this is a bigger side to where, in part, Ben is coming from. You cannot misconstrue this statement to mean that even with that said, the exposure is not welcome; it is welcome. You need to remove your personal feelings from the discussion before you can see where one's opinion is coming from and what they may mean. It's not necessarily that they don't also agree with your view about exposure, but they have other elements to consider that you may not.
  10. No one is doubting the benefits of exposure. If your take away was only this, then you have missed the point for which Ben was trying to convey.
  11. Given your word of choice to describe one's behavior, this argument is very weak.
  12. Ben serves a very valid point in here through his posts collectively to which many of you seem to be taking to near extreme. His argument overall is not centered around Pete/Froogle. Be careful who you call a "d-bag" or similar. The door is not far behind you. Re-read objectively and be a bit more open minded before you go calling one of the guys who has produced software that brings to market some of the best add-ons to date (and coming...like IXEG) any names. Don't do that again.
  13. I cannot find a valid purchase under your user account for X-Aviation. As this forum section is dedicated to these specific customers, please seek support at the location you purchased from.
  14. Aside from bug fixes we do not anticipate expanding this aircraft any further.
  15. Well, I didn't say that, but I did say the span of time to create such a release would be about that time. In any case, really cool stuff to show you guys coming up.
  16. This is the place to watch for updates when we have them...as well as your email.
  17. Hey, guys, We've done a lot of work over the last few weeks to upgrade a lot of the bay area and in preparation to announce a new, big enhancement/feature to this product as a whole. We are very close to posting new shots, and more importantly, MUCH closer to a release! Keep your eyes peeled here over the next few days!
  18. At the moment there is not such a checklist.
  19. Not necessarily, no.
  20. That's two now with the GTX 780.... For reference, the GTX 680 at relatively high settings in version 1.0 is averaging much higher than arb65912 is stating. Your situation is interesting because it indicates issues in exterior view, which to me also sounds very much so like a GPU or CPU bound issue.
  21. This is extremely peculiar...why would you keep a 780 at such low settings as your norm?
  22. Plain and simple, section 15 of what you agreed to when you purchased: 15. LICENSE APPLICABLE TO PRODUCTS SOLD No user of X-Aviation site may modify (personally or commercially) or re-distribute X-Aviation site products without prior written consent from an administrator at X-Aviation. Sharing methods of modification (how to do so) is strictly prohibited and is grounds for termination of a user license or account. An exception is made for aircraft re-paints, which may not only be modified, but may also be re-distributed. In this instance X-Aviation will typically provide a paintkit for user to modify files eligible for modification under these terms. This really isn't up for debate.
