  1. I think the answer is that spring leading into summer from an above earth perspective is really going to look mostly the same. The summer textures satisfy that, so they get put to use, unlike autumn, which justified having a set of its own for the unique colors that time of year. Glad to hear you're enjoying the product!
  2. TerraMaxx has been released and is now available for purchase.
  3. Oh man, that was FUNNY. Thanks for the laugh!
  4. If things continue going smoothly as they are in this final stretch of work right now, I anticipate we will have TerraMaxx available for purchase within the next 1 hour.
  5. No, but it definitely should not have left them in full, and I'll take a look into the code as to why that may happen. Some of these OS's are very finicky about deleting files properly when commanded, so a small battle. In a technical sense, yes, it was fully upgraded and installed. What it was not was fully upgraded and loading the newest code because of old lingering code files that should have been deleted.
  6. This would likely be liveries, especially third party one's, or any you downloaded with the Livery Manager after initial first install of 1.3. Actually, what you got was fully upgraded and installed. What we've seen on some machines though is that in addition to the new code files, some installs will retain new and old, and the old get loaded before new. I'm looking at ways to work around this appropriately.
  7. Try without xEnviro just to be sure. More often than not the reports we see with CTD's are resolved with this removed for some reason.
  8. We operate in the USA. It is still very much business day here, and we don't intend to break our promise of a Saturday release.
  9. Well, please use the search function (or at the very least look at the first page of topic titles in support) if you're going to take the time to even post a topic that's already received an answer. We're aware of the documentation being outdated. People wanted 1.5, so we shipped.
  10. Well documented, and searching the forums goes a long way... http://forums.x-pilot.com/forums/topic/13960-xp-1111-how-to-assign-the-condition-levers/
  11. Activate the tiller. Left lower side of panel.

  13. I'm going to test an area for you JUST to be sure. Won't be straight away here, but I don't want to give you false information. Will quote back to you when I have an answer for certain...it just donned on me that ortho's may have a way of overriding that aspect, but perhaps not, so I'll dive in and get a for sure answer soon (before release).
  14. In this instance fall colored trees should work. I believe those use a custom library from Tony (the creator). As such, he can make it work with TerraMaxx by introducing the new seasonal sets, otherwise it will just show his normal textures on the objects regardless of the season (terrain like snow on the ground will of course be controlled by TerraMaxx).
  15. John's reply is correct above, but a little confusing, so I'm going to re-iterate what he's saying: 1. TerraMaxx comes with post-processing as an option already preset and a small ability to adjust (nothing like MaxxFX). If you use this FEATURE then we do not suggest using MaxxFX with it. 2. If you do NOT use the feature by turning it off in the TerraMaxx settings, then you can use MaxxFX as you desire.
  16. That's essentially the purpose of the first three images of this thread.
  17. Perfectly fine question! The product is too new for you to have experience just yet. We have not talked directly with ORBX, but the release they just did can certainly be adapted to take advantage of the seasons here! As we only announced this today I guess they'll need to get wind of it before adaption happens on their end. To be clear, their scenery will load just fine with TerraMaxx, but they will need to properly adapt their scenery to fully take advantage of TerraMaxx's features (like creating various season sets for the buildings and custom textures in the area of the scenery).
  18. Airports can be right from release. Ortho's cannot at this time for reasons explained above.
  19. There are two versions of winter. One is 'Mild', the other 'Deep'. In mild conditions it's more patchy (not pictured above), where you don't have full ground coverage of snow and some underlying areas are visible. That said, what we don't have is areas where higher altitude regions vs a valley are going to have snow, and this is more an X-Plane limitation reason than anything else for the moment. Assuming community response to this product will be what we expect, we do have plans to further open dialog with Laminar about this. For the moment, Laminar does not offer a for us to apply textures based on altitude in addition to time, weather, etc. We want to open it up to this similar to the steps we took with weather an SkyMaxx back in v1. It came a long way with Laminar cooperation since then, and ultimately allowed others like xEnviro to tap into it too. Better for everyone! "Smooth" transitions are not available...yet. We've looked into this, and had discussions with Laminar about it. The only option available for such at this time is limiting in a way we don't view as beneficial for everyone, so we've taken the next best approach to this for the moment. See original post above about seasonal texture change. In addition, as mentioned, X-Plane does not provide a feasible SDK way at the moment to place texture based on altitude in addition to time, weather, or that "mountain top over there", so in the end we're in a position of plausibility right now. What I mean by that is something along the lines of "during this time of year, in this area, it's most likely to look like this, so let's make it so", and if you don't like it as the user you can override the decision (or even the settings on how those are applied in the product) and lock in a season at any given time. Your questions are very valid, and we're on the same page. One step at a time. We're taking this first big one now and getting our feet wet, just as we did with SkyMaxx Pro v1.
