  1. Ozwald, I agree with a lot of what you have mentioned. In terms of glass the "technology" for it is being developed and working, and some previews of that type of stuff can be found here: http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php?topic=81.0 It's not a fully featured G1000, but it IS a moving map with TAWS and TCAS, and completely custom code with no generics involved. I would say it's a safe guess that a G1000 will be in the foreseeable future.
  2. Ah, that was you, Simon! Happy to see you here! It looks like your new i7 system is going well then, no?
  3. Nice video! Looks like you have the MU-2 and its systems down and memorized.
  4. Thomas, Welcome to the boards! X-Plane has a pretty good rendering method for high polygons and their impact on FPS. The last report I had from Javier was in the cockpit at 40,000 polygons he has been getting 50 fps.
  5. Great video! I can see this as being a good movie to show at a booth like I'm sure Austin had. It really shows off a lot of what the sim has and can do. I loved the scene of the 747 departing with the birds just in front of it. I notice your username here says "lupineproductions." Are you in the video editing profession for a living?
  6. k6bhc, When making a post, click on "Additional Options..." just below the text field area. You will see an attachment manager there. Hope this helps!
  7. Antii, Thanks for posting the video! Do you fly the MU-2 often? How do you like it? It looks like you're having a lot of fun!
  8. Nice video, and thanks for sharing! What scenery is it that you are using in this?
  9. Welcome to the community, Gera! Great to have you here, and I look forward to seeing your contributions in the future.

mr3d, Looks to be X-Plane with a converted FS scenery from FS2XPlane, I think.
  11. Jason, I don't want to give people the wrong perception here, or that I am biased to our own products for sale, however, I personally enjoy this aircraft. It's a simple aircraft, doesn't require a lot of work, and is comparable to the slow flight of a Cessna 172. There are a multitude of screenshots up on X-Aviation showing it off, so I hope this better helps your opinion. Everyone likes something different! At $13.95, I wouldn't have any regrets, and that is something that is heavily taken into consideration when a product is put up on X-Aviation.
  12. Just showing off some pics of a little flight I did tonight! The scenery is the Oregon package, and is produced by RealScenery.com. You can get the P92 HERE Enjoy!
  13. Looking good, Eric! Will this be covering the entire state?
  14. Jason, It's too early to assume a price at this time. As of this writing, your price assumption is inaccurate, and we don't (at this time) anticipate it being that high. From what I am being told, the estimation given to you was a lower number, and only an estimate. It could be even lower than what you were told! We'll talk about price further down the line, but to clear things up for the mass, your price assumption is too high at this time.
  15. Excellent video, Alessandro! How often do you fly the MU-2?
  16. Thanks for sharing, Jim! I never noticed until now that the developer of this aircraft did a nice little touch with the moving scarf. Pretty cool! It looks like you did it right by flying over that scenery in a bi-plane. Nice and slow, enjoying the view. 8)
  17. Hey, Jason, You may be right (and it makes some sense) that the new drivers are helping you out on the windows side. One thing that I will correct you on though (just for new people and informative sake), is that X-Plane runs OpenGL and not DirectX. I'm not sure which version of OpenGL the Mobility card you have supports up to, but I'm sure the drivers help with the latest OpenGL technology as well.
  18. Jason, I'm not aware of anything that will really speed up your sim. At this point you're starting to hit hardware limitations vs. what the newer versions of X-Plane 9 are capable of. Are you saying that you are running XP on extreme from your laptop with bootcamp already, or from another machine? I'm a little baffled on how your FPS may be effected so much between the two operating systems. Weird, for sure!
  19. Much agreed, Dan! I think it's great that a culmination of so many talented parties are joining forces to create what looks to be a nice and organized community. I'm excited to see what the future here holds.
