  1. Wrong. We don't have to adapt to them. We are willing to WORK with the developers of these add-ons to improve compatibility. The CRJ is a very sophisticated plane, and cannot be compared to anything else available in the means of how its systems, displays, or data is programmed. This is proving to exploit bugs in our programming sometimes, but also exploiting bugs in OTHER plug-ins programming as well. It is just as unfair for you to state that this is all our fault. We are MORE than happy to work with developers and have been actively contacting them to work around these issues. That's not a plug-in issue. That's somehow an incomplete object load. When you initially load the CRJ do you see the WHOLE plane, or does it always look like you have shown above? This appears to be something specific on your computer, as this has NOT been reported on any others, and is a classic case of missing object files or too high or settings for your setup. We are working as hard as possible to resolve these issues. You are ONLY seeing the vocal people here who do have issues. There are MANY, MANY people with NO issues too! Unfortunately, life is not any easier because we cannot duplicate any of these crashes like some others have, and we have tested this on over 7 machines now. To give you a fair idea, the amount of people having issues is well under 20% of total sales. This does not mean that we aren't going to work any harder, but it means that we are NOT purposefully releasing software that appears to be buggy. We are committed to solving any issues for everyone, and will not stop working until we do. The amount of nights with no sleep has gone far beyond what you can even imagine at this point. This has nothing to do with X-Aviation or the Take Command product line. This is an evolutionary product with growing pains that are unforeseen, and had we been able to duplicate any of these issues on our test machines we would have NEVER released the aircraft in this state. Believe me, this is no more fun for us than it is for you!
  2. Hello, If you do not complete the activation within 30 seconds after loading X-Plane the screens will shut off. If this happens, simply complete the activation then reload the plane.
  3. Hi, Tom, We have had reports the XSB actually was causing issues even in 1.0. We will investigate this further, as I do agree with you...this is a heavily used plug-in that needs to be compatible!
  4. So to clarify: ALL displays are working with the exception of the FMC?
  5. Hi, Tom, Okay, not an activation issue. Is it ALL screens that are off?
  6. For organizational purposes, please read the other postings here and keep things in relevant topics: http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php?topic=2350.0 Thank you for your time AND patience!
  7. I'm not sure I understand what you're saying here, but if you're asking for a new download to 1.1 simply go to X-Aviation and request it. This is not the place to do so. As long as the license_key.txt file generated from activation is still present, then yes, it will work. Please see this post: http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php?topic=2373.msg22820#msg22820
  8. Short name for backup, probably.
  9. Hi, Tom, Sounds interesting. Maybe something with activation? What were to happen if you re-open the plane? Does the activation window pop back up? I saw you re-activated today, so do let me know if there's something I can do to assist you! http://www.x-aviation.com/catalog/contact_us.php
  10. If only you knew! It's even more frustrating here...over 7 different computers this has been tested on now, Mac, Windows, and Linux, and we can't seem to duplicate any of these Mac or Windows CTD errors! We'll get there. Definitely frustrating for all, and we do apologize for the inconvenience for those that must patiently wait!
  11. Thanks for making attempts anyhow, Rod! Your taking out the time to report and help others here is GREATLY appreciated!
  12. Reply coming soon, Simon. Unfortunate that you're the only one with this problem.
  13. To me it seemed like a subtle move to say that this hasn't been responded or updated in a while, and because of it you aren't receiving any updated emails with forum alerts. If this is a wrong assumption feel free to clarify.
  14. Great! Glad you're on your way! As this has been resolved, this topic is now closed.
  15. Ventsi, Sounds like the yaw damper issue. This was changed to reflect the real life aircraft in version 1.1. Pleas see the following topic: http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php?topic=2355.0
  16. Great! Glad you've got the hang of it. Keep up the good work!
  17. Looks great! Have you been doing this in GIMP?
  18. Please see here: http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php?topic=2204.msg22700#msg22700
  19. Mainly because we are the subset of creators of Gizmo at X-Aviation, and we always ensure you have the LATEST version of Gizmo now. Keeping older versions may put you at risk of memory leaks, bugs, etc. As producers of the product, there's really no need. The other reason being the CRJ will NOT work with older versions of Gizmo. Why two plugins? Because it's more efficient that way for many reasons, all in end of which aren't necessary to outline. Thanks for chiming in!
  20. Hi, All, Gizmo is required and is installed for you. The other plugin installed for you is called Shrink Wrap. These two plugins work together. Gizmo handles the cURL functionality to connect to the server while our other plugin handles the rest of the activation procedure. Gizmo and Shrink Wrap are not the culprit here. I have done internal tests with customers who have had this crash problem, and to troubleshoot I have had them delete both Shrink Wrap and Gizmo. During these tests, the crashes still occur. There is something else at play here.
  21. As this has been resolved, this topic is now closed.
  22. That's just the X-Plane USB key, often times used for an alternative to a DVD, OR for the pro versions of X-Plane. Normal.
  23. Hi, Two options... 1. Re-Download the installer (this has been fixed in a new installer uploaded yesterday) or 2. Follow the instructions here: http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php?topic=2351.0
  24. Now that this has been solved and ruled not a CRJ problem, this topic is closed. Thanks for the updates, Nova!
  25. This is correct, and it's done this way so that: 1. Your routes will work with your upgrade 2. Any liveries you download don't have to be manually installed again 3. Your activation license will be retained so that you do not have to re-activate after each upgrade In short, this is programmed this way as a convenience factor and to make your life a little easier.
