  1. No offense, Tom, but you do come across relatively hard headed at times, and rather demanding. We all want this to work for everyone. We'll get there. Sorry if it's not working for you at the moment. All the best, Cameron
  2. Tom, They ARE important to the masses because this is how the CRJ ships. If you want to get crafty and remove the plugins, then okay...as long as its after activation. However, this will cause issues down the line when you need to re-activate. I'm still unclear on the XSB issue. In the poll I have done in a short list of users, and one additional user on this forum, all have reported that the CRJ (1.1), Gizmo, and Shrink Wrap all work perfectly well with XSB. I can't vouch for you, and I know your test was otherwise. That said, I do NOT recommend that people start removing plugins associated to the CRJ unless you know what you're doing, and because of that I will not recommend this to the general population at all. I know you are a heavy SASL user, so this only helps to make matters "worse" for you.
  3. Gizmo, Shrinkwrap and Vascore should remain.
  4. I would challenge that statement. You're a pretty smart cookie, Simon.
  5. Simon, The instructions are to uninstall and then reinstall in succession to figure out the exact culprit. You've quite clearly misunderstood this.
  6. Probably a clash between Gizmo and XSquawkbox and sound. ... Shrink-Wrap is a very basic plugin and shouldn't clash with anything. Meanwhile, the same plugin combo works for others: http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php?topic=2403.msg22993#msg22993 *sigh* Someday....haha!
  7. May come down to Windows update, or a mix of installed apps conflicting. Closed until Philipp can come around.
  8. It's not a CRJ problem, Perry.
  9. Elbert, No, the uninstallers are unique to each machine. You'll need to go through and make sure the following are removed manually and re-install on your machine: 1. CRJ-200 from the Aircraft/X-Aviation folder 2. Shrinkwrap, Gizmo, and Vascore from X-Plane/Resources/plugins folder 3. JRollonPlanes folder and all of its contents from the main X-Plane directory 4. In your user home directory of OS X: Library/Frameworks/: You should remove libcurl and the two QT folders in there. Once all of the above has been deleted, re-run the 1.1 installer.
  10. Hi, Vance, Thanks for this post! Glad to hear you are having successful sessions and enjoying version 1.1! We'll look into that back to back load. Thanks again!
  11. Japo32 is username. Javier is real name.

  13. This is clashing between plug-ins. You can say it's the Bell's fault, or Gizmo's fault. Hopefully the developer is willing to work with us on this! Regarding the missing objects: Can you also upload your log.txt file after you see this happen should it continue after you try Javier's suggestions?
  14. You're most welcome! Enjoy! Topic closed as this has been resolved.
  15. Elbert, Run the CRJ Uninstaller in your main X-Plane directory. After doing so, go run the installer application again to get you back up to snuff.
  16. Wrong. We don't have to adapt to them. We are willing to WORK with the developers of these add-ons to improve compatibility. The CRJ is a very sophisticated plane, and cannot be compared to anything else available in the means of how its systems, displays, or data is programmed. This is proving to exploit bugs in our programming sometimes, but also exploiting bugs in OTHER plug-ins programming as well. It is just as unfair for you to state that this is all our fault. We are MORE than happy to work with developers and have been actively contacting them to work around these issues. That's not a plug-in issue. That's somehow an incomplete object load. When you initially load the CRJ do you see the WHOLE plane, or does it always look like you have shown above? This appears to be something specific on your computer, as this has NOT been reported on any others, and is a classic case of missing object files or too high or settings for your setup. We are working as hard as possible to resolve these issues. You are ONLY seeing the vocal people here who do have issues. There are MANY, MANY people with NO issues too! Unfortunately, life is not any easier because we cannot duplicate any of these crashes like some others have, and we have tested this on over 7 machines now. To give you a fair idea, the amount of people having issues is well under 20% of total sales. This does not mean that we aren't going to work any harder, but it means that we are NOT purposefully releasing software that appears to be buggy. We are committed to solving any issues for everyone, and will not stop working until we do. The amount of nights with no sleep has gone far beyond what you can even imagine at this point. This has nothing to do with X-Aviation or the Take Command product line. This is an evolutionary product with growing pains that are unforeseen, and had we been able to duplicate any of these issues on our test machines we would have NEVER released the aircraft in this state. Believe me, this is no more fun for us than it is for you!
  17. Hello, If you do not complete the activation within 30 seconds after loading X-Plane the screens will shut off. If this happens, simply complete the activation then reload the plane.
  18. Hi, Tom, We have had reports the XSB actually was causing issues even in 1.0. We will investigate this further, as I do agree with you...this is a heavily used plug-in that needs to be compatible!
  19. So to clarify: ALL displays are working with the exception of the FMC?
  20. Hi, Tom, Okay, not an activation issue. Is it ALL screens that are off?
  21. For organizational purposes, please read the other postings here and keep things in relevant topics: http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php?topic=2350.0 Thank you for your time AND patience!
  22. I'm not sure I understand what you're saying here, but if you're asking for a new download to 1.1 simply go to X-Aviation and request it. This is not the place to do so. As long as the license_key.txt file generated from activation is still present, then yes, it will work. Please see this post: http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php?topic=2373.msg22820#msg22820
  23. Short name for backup, probably.
  24. Hi, Tom, Sounds interesting. Maybe something with activation? What were to happen if you re-open the plane? Does the activation window pop back up? I saw you re-activated today, so do let me know if there's something I can do to assist you! http://www.x-aviation.com/catalog/contact_us.php
  25. If only you knew! It's even more frustrating here...over 7 different computers this has been tested on now, Mac, Windows, and Linux, and we can't seem to duplicate any of these Mac or Windows CTD errors! We'll get there. Definitely frustrating for all, and we do apologize for the inconvenience for those that must patiently wait!
