  1. Flight plans have nothing to do with manuals. Flight plans are carried out by airline dispatch. Pilots will still need to print out a flight release at the gate (small document prior to each flight, unique to each flight) prior to a flight. Flight plans are still entered into an FMC as normal. The only thing the iPad has to do with is eliminating the need to provide each pilot with 50lbs of paper to lug around every day.
  2. Because the paper is not going to be carried by the pilot. The paper manuals will now exist IN the aircraft, while the pilot will carry the iPad instead. It's significantly lighter.
  3. Looks like SpaceShipOne.

  5. Hi, there, Sorry we didn't get a sufficient reply to you sooner! In short, you're correct...there is no way to undock the instrument panel from the scenery at the moment. I'm glad you've found what sounds like a possible solution though! Welcome to the forums!
  6. Great job on this one! Looking forward to taking it around the pattern!
  7. Good luck on your venture! As a side note...last I remember, Mesaba will have nearly all Saabs retired around the end of 2011. CRJ is your likely bet knowing the state of Mesaba's fleet plan!
  8. Jim, You have to go download the updates. They are not issued by anyone but REX, and are a free download: http://realenvironmentxtreme.com/forum/index.php?board=31.0
  9. Hi, Michael, Welcome to X-Pilot! It's great to have you here. When moving in 3D view with your mouse, press the 'q' or 'e' key on your keyboard to lock the camera position. This will allow you to now move your mouse to a switch without the camera tracking the mouse. When done, you can re-enter 3D mode by pressing CTRL O. Additionally, for the CRJ, you can utilize the pre-set pilotview configurations as seen here: Hope this helps!
  10. Hi, there, That would make sense. 1.3 is required to work with other X-Aviation products. This does not make sense. Fly J Sim's Q400 is coded in Gizmo. It HAS to work with Gizmo! Do you have two versions of the Corvalis plugin running in your plug-in admin? This sounds very odd... Brakes are not something we control AT ALL with this software. Saved situations may cause issues with this aircraft because there are many custom drefs that X-Plane is not used to dealing with by default. Drefs are likely not being correctly saved in your situation setup.
  11. Dennis, As Jim has explained, this is the result of an de-activated aircraft. You are: A) Due for a periodic activation check-up or B ) Have re-installed or moved the C400 to a computer or HD without running the installer itself. If it is option A, it's likely that you do not have Gizmo installed. Perhaps by your own reasonings. Until you re-install the product or Gizmo itself, this will not work.
  12. Hey, there, Just as a test...can you try installing this on your C:\ drive?
  13. Outside of what the other guys have already said here, the news was also posted on the homepage, Perry. - http://www.x-pilot.com
  14. Hi, Valentin, After going over your specs and looking at the screenshots, this is a relatively clear indication of your computer being on the brink of memory "overdose." The aircraft you are loading in mixed with Gizmo and other plugins running globally are chewing up your relatively lower end system. Sometimes we all have to face the fact that we don't have the high end machine anymore (done that twice this year myself already!) and are faced with "dealing with it" or buying a new system. I assume that if you could be afforded the opportunity to purchase a new system you would, but I'm sure there's some reasons which do not need to be explained here as to why you can't or haven't. Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be much I or others can do to help you at the moment. I certainly wish I could say otherwise, however, I am confident in telling you that the moment you are able to upgrade your system and do so, your issues related to this will simply disappear. All the best, Cameron
  15. Valentin, Yes, Gizmo is utilized here. No, it doesn't do as you assert in terms of its functionality (doesn't come close to it), so while your problem may go away without Gizmo present, there is likely something else you have conflicting with this issue as well. Unfortunately, there's not a whole lot to go off of based on your description here, and as this is the first time we're ever hearing of this I don't believe it's a wide spread issue. If you're willing to help us, we'd love to get involved in this to help you! A great test would be to install X-Plane's demo version as a clean install somewhere on your computer. After that, install ONLY the CRJ (this will install Gizmo as well), and see if the livery switching issue still happens in that instance. Thanks for any info you can help to provide! P.S. Can you please shed info as to what your system hardware specs are? To be very frank, this sounds more like a lower end hardware issue that's getting it's memory pushed to the max rather than a specific issue correlated to Gizmo itself.
  16. Hi, there, For personal use we allow you up to three installs at any given time for our products. Looks like you'll be covered with only one purchase. For commercial use we have a completely different pricing structure.
  17. Hi, there. Thanks for chiming in! Mountain regions look particularly stunning with scenery like this. Reno was a great example of that, and Oahu just as well! Check out the galleries on X-Aviation.com to see some examples. In the coming days we'll begin adding more galleries up for NORCAL. I'll definitely keep everyone updated as we progress towards release!
  18. X-Aviation will be selling X-Plane 10. Aerosoft will be handling European distribution, and the only difference will be the actual box content and graphics. The actual media will be the same on the US and European versions. There are still some unannounced items, and I don't wish to talk about them simply because everything is still under consideration. It's just being published by them, however, is the same one that's been shown off by Alfredo at the org for months now.
  19. These guys have been around for months for X-Plane. None the less, nice to see them keep up with the upgrades.
  20. Fantastic news, Keith. Congratulations!
  21. Hi, Pauly, Believe it or not, there is often times an INCREASE in FPS with RealScenery products. The reason for this is due to the multiple layers that are normally present to create default X-Plane scenery not being present at all. Instead, we bake these textures in from the core, thus causing none to less FPS impact!
  22. Thanks for the update! Glad this is solved.
  23. Nice screenshot, Will.
