  1. In other words, those are all the specs I know, what else would you need? I don't think it is prefs, as this has been consistent since about September, though I will delete them to be sure. I'm aware that you said you weren't sure, my question is can you find out what they are? Download this http://www.cpuid.com/ it will tell you what they are. It's hard helping someone if you don't have their specs. Are you sure that's for Mac, because PC wizard, which it seemed was the one I should use, said Windows 7/Vista. Tonka, I'll try that, I'm assuming you mean uninstall X-Plane, remove the disk, re-install, or do that with the disk in? Sorry I forgot you were on a Mac. And what Tonka means is download the X-Plane Demo from the X-Plane website rather than uninstalling your whole XP install.
  2. Calm down Joe, it's not meant to be taken seriously.... *rolls eyes*
  3. LOL Simon!

  5. Can you find out the other specs? And have you tried deleting your prefs?
  6. Thanks Simon! Nice try but this was during the sunset hours and of course! The longer the delay the better (only at an airport though ;D )
  7. Thanks Florian! Yeah I don't understand half the song, but I like it ;D
  8. Unfortunately, there is nothing I can do about that. openGL is completely single-threaded, which means all accesses to the openGL context must be synchronized. I took great care to get this absolutely right in the CRJ, which uses up to seven threads and all the draws get serialized to go through the openGL pipeline just in time - if you see this in a thread profiler, you will see I built really some kind of choreography to get this right. Now, if there is yet another program that wants to draw openGL and makes changes to the context which are entirely out of my control, this can't work anymore. So I'm not surprised that a "competitve" openGL program messes this up. So, as for your display refresh rate problem, can you please test the CRJ without any third-party plugins running? They have to be definetely more than once a second given your PC! I have reports from people with quite comparable or even slower PCs and the displays are running good there. 1. run CRJ on clean X-Plane - displays should work with your PC. If they still don't there is something wrong with your NVidia driver or you have a borked setup 2. try adding back the plugins to find the one that kills the display refresh. I fear you will have to do without this then, since I cannot program a gazillion different versions of the CRJ for every combination of other plugins that are out there. Philipp A little annoying if this cant be resolved or circumnavigated since I normally look up all my charts online during a flight. You can always buy an iPad, Jack
  9. Video was shot at KATL on December 21st 2010. My Air France Flight to paris was delayed by about 3 hours because of the heavy snowfall in Paris, so I popped out the camera and started filming! Watch it in HD! Unfortunately my Sony Vegas has been acting up and I couldn't render the video in full HD, just 720p. Hope ya enjoy! PS: Sorry about the shaky movements in some areas, I was zoomed in all the way and it was hard to manipulate the tripod smoothly... ;D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGI3JG4sP04?hd=1
  10. I don't believe it's possible, it needs to be cropped out later during the editing of the video. Oliver Sent from my iPad

Beautiful video, Simon! Oliver Sent from my iPad
  12. It's mainly just experience. Unfortunately there isn't many video enhancing plugins. It just takes time to master the smooth panning and shooting. Oliver -Sent from my iPad
  13. The limitations of the freeware are that it only records 30 second clips. I use Fraps as well and it is a great tool!
  14. DRM System = Digital Rights Management (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_rights_management).
  15. Hmm well that sure is strange, I wish I could help you more :-\
  16. Well that sure is strange... Have you tried updating your gfx card's drivers? There may not be problems with other apps\games but it may lie in there. Also what version X-Plane are you running? And lastly if nothing works, try contacting X-Plane tech support. Good luck!
  17. Have your attempted to trash the pref files yet?
  18. Sounds great, Samen! Good luck on all your exams

  20. Thanks! Yeah, I can't wait until that darn love bug season is over!
  21. Flew around Venice, Florida today with a buddy of mine in the Cessna 172. Sorry about the dirty windshield, it's love bug season >
  22. Come one now. We Floridians (even if you're here only for school) should know better. Ah yea, I remember the countless times going to Kennedy and having to drive the 3 hours back home without even seeing the launch of the Shuttle!
  23. Ah wonderful! Thanks for the great find, Ola!

Thanks, Jack! Sorry to hear about the DRM, Nova. It can be a major PITA. I've just been pretty lazy, Jack, but I'm installing it as we speak
