  2. I think when you start up the Goodway app and it doesn't find the plugin installed, a pop up box opens and tells you it is not installed and asks you if you want to install it. You may have inadvertently reinstalled the plugin by clicking yes. Based on your log.txt it is the only plugin I can see that might be causing your issue. I have seen numerous issues with the Goodway plugin(not the app itself) and services like PilotEdge and VATSIM. I have my fingers crossed that deleting Goodway plugin will solve your issue.
  3. Giddyup!!! Great plan, Pete!
  4. Cruster, I have one idea for you to try. Move the Goodway plugin into a "plugins_disabled" folder and see what happens. The Goodway plugin is a known bad boy that does not play well with online flight servers. I use the Goodway Flight Planning software all the time, but I don't have the plugin installed because I like to fly on VATSIM, PilotEdge, NetFlight and X-FlightServer. Goodway messes with them all. I'm surprised you've not had issues previously. Try removing the Goodway plugin and get back to us with a report. Thanks!
  5. I think you're asking the wrong crowd. Why not ask an org moderator? My guess is that it depends on the offense and the demeanor of the offender. I find it interesting how most people who are disciplined at the org most often neglect to mention their transgressions so I have to ask, what exactly did you do or say to get to where you are in regards to the org?
  6. They did it! Met their goal and then some! Can't wait to get my yoke. It's gonna be a long 5 months til May. You can still get in on the ground floor and get one of these yokes for substantially less than the projected retail price, but there's only 22 hours left!!
  7. I'm surprised this hasn't shown up in these forums before now, but you can still get in on this opportunity! There's only 28 hours left to go for this Kickstarter deal: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/irisdynamics/affordable-force-feedback-flight-sim-control-yoke
  8. Can't you just change the pilot's seat height in Plane Maker? Looks more like a viewpoint issue rather than a graphics model issue.

    Crash

Okay.....delete your preferences and then start X-Plane. This will start you with a default aircraft. Then try loading the Challenger and see what happens. Post your log.txt after you do this. If it still crashes, try replacing the Challenger's SASL folder with a newer SASL folder/version. Also, you might want to contact the author directly or the support forum at the org.

    Crash

Make sure you're loading the latest version of this aircraft.

    Crash

Your crash has nothing to do with SASL. My guess is you're running out of memory because of the scenery errors that add up and choke your memory. Try removing the offending sceneries and see what happens. Also, you may have some other kind of plugin conflict. Try removing all your plugins (except Gizmo) and adding them back in one by one. Also, delete your preferences and try lower rendering options. Hobofat and slasher: if you're still having crashes, post your log.txt files and let's see where your problems occur. It's extremely doubtful the problem is SASL related. Any time you all of a sudden have an issue with an aircraft that previously performed flawlessly you can usually trace the problem to a scenery or plugin that you recently installed. And always delete your preferences as your first approach to solving the issue.
  12. It should work both 32 and 64 bit. Double check that you've downloaded he most current version.
  13. You might want to try this plugin instead of Tom's plugin. This one is more current and should be compatible with your current system. http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=14646
  14. Have you set up a "push to talk" button in the Buttons and Keys assignments?
  15. Thanks for your comment, Goran. However, you didn't answer the question. Why should a developer not be allowed to sell liveries? Makes perfect sense that a developer should be able to maximize his time and talent investment by selling additional products, be they liveries or expansion packs. Seems awfully short-sighted of a developer to cut himself out of a revenue stream.
  16. But what's the difference really between the developer selling the liveries rather than a third party? Why does it matter who is doing the painting and selling? Your comment makes no sense to me.
  17. Yes, I understand the sarcasm, but I don't understand what makes the sarcasm work in this case. Why would it be considered a "convenient" typo? What advantage was gained by the typo? That's what I don't understand. And the fact that it's such a big deal to Theo. What makes it the "most convenient" error in the world?
  18. How is it "convenient?" I don't understand this comment at all.
  19. Wikipedia says: "The amenities of the DC-3 and DST popularized air travel in the United States. With only three refueling stops, eastbound transcontinental flights crossing the U.S. in approximately 15 hours became possible. Westbound trips took 171⁄2 hours due to prevailing headwinds"
  20. True, Chandler's planes use stock X-Plane gauges and instruments. True, Chandler's planes don't have photo textures. If you're looking for the latest and greatest eye candy, Chandler's planes aren't for you. If by "realistic models" you are referring to the way they look, then Chandler's planes aren't for you. But if you're looking for planes with the best flight models available, then Chandler's planes are for you. If flight model is the most important feature for you, Chandler's planes are the most accurate available. I'm not arguing your opinion, but I know Jason personally and I know of many helicopter pilots flying his models for training purposes. No, they don't simulate full systems, but they FLY like the real thing.
  21. So, in your opinion, which X-Plane aircraft DO fly right? Tell me one developer who sells "training level" aircraft for under $35. There aren't any. I think Carenado, along with the rest of the X-Plane developers, do a pretty good job of recreating the flight experience within the constraints of the X-Plane software. If you say Carenado planes don't fly right, then I say there isn't any plane that flies "right" in X-Plane. I think the following excerpt from a thread in the PilotEdge forums can apply here: "I still think that as long as you treat the sim as its own unique aircraft, as opposed to being a real 172, Piper or Cirrus, and fly it on its own merits, then all works out well."
  22. +1 on Chandler's Pipers. I haven't tried some of the more modern, high-end payware aircraft, but based on everything I've read, the handling of Chandler's planes are second to none. At the end of the day, what could possibly be more important than that? I used his Piper Warrior for several hundred hours to become a r/w instrument-rated pilot. I also used the Saratoga to increase my workload, so that when I flew a 172 in the real world, things would be that much easier. As it turned out, I eventually stepped into a very high performance aircraft (faster than the Saratoga, in fact), so I'm very grateful that I spent the time in his higher end airplanes, too. There is absolutely no way that I would have reached my current level of proficiency were it not for his aircraft. Keith PilotEdge - Real ATC for the virtual environment They are updated to V10
  23. I believe there is a manual in the DC-3 folder. Not only is it entertaining, it is very informative. To answer your question, yes.
  24. There's your problem right there! You're supposed to click it....not lick it!
  25. If you have to have additional navigational assistance beyond what is available in a particular aircraft, you could always use AirTrack on your iPhone or iPad. This would "mimic" a real world hand held.
