Still no new for the XP12 and specifically 12.3.1 upgrade ? at least now we can expect the new real weather wx radar ;-) For turbine fan, in addition of the XP12 EPIC1000 and PC12, a Piper M500 XP12 should be released rather soon
Phew ! I think I finished my flight sim.
6 x fip's, Glass panel pfp, radio, multi panel and switch panel all working well. Taken me over a year and a real chew on but I got there.
Good luck to the guys and gals just starting. Keep going and persevere, its worth it in the end.
The DA40NG Main Menu is missing and no keys to start the engine. I am running XP 12.0.9-rc-5. Installed the XP 12 version 1.0.2 (twice) of the aircraft. I see that the plugin is listed under the PluginAdmin.
YES! I FINALLY found the fix in the net after HOURS of search. Now I can normally exit the game and go to the settings menu WITHOUT to kill the process...
Here is the solution written:https://forums.x-plane.org/forums/topic/325851-xp-1213-4-on-linux-freeze-not-ctd-on-exit/#comment-2864294 and here https://forums.x-plane.org/forums/topic/326955-x-plane-12-hangs-on-exit-linux/
I only needed to run sudo ln -s /bin/true /usr/bin/pulseaudio
I am still learning linux but I think its an symbol link creation... Linux wizardry that I want to learn and thats an very good thread to start learning some things hehe
Thanky to you all for trying to help me.
Have an nice flight :-)
EDIT: So naturally I can now access the CL650 settings :-)
I assume by recent posts you mean the update dated 1st Feb 24? Which was useful in laying out what IXEG intend to tackle in the short/ medium term, but was over one and a half years ago. Or perhaps you mean your most helpful one word update on progress - "Great" on the 6th May 24?
It's fair to say that a status update from the IXEG team is due, so people at least have an idea of what is being worked on by the IXEG team, and how the team are progressing.
The majority of people in this forum are asking because they care and they really like the IXEG aircraft; NOT to diminish or detract from the excellent work already done or to pester the team.
That worked.
1. Uninstalled DA40NG
2. Moved all third party plugins
3. Reinstalled DA40NG
4. Ran X-Plane
5. Loaded aircraft
6. Registered aircraft with Gizmo
7. Verified RSG Diamond DA40NG menu is visible and accessible
8. Exited X-Plane
9. Moved back third party plugins
10. Repeated steps 4, 5 and 7 (2X) - All good.
Thanks for your help.
Axonos has recently released their rendition of Jackson Hole Airport for X-Plane 12, emphasizing its unique location in the Rocky Mountains and its status as the only commercial airport within a National Park in the United States. The airport, originally established in the 1930s and later extended in 1959, has become a crucial hub for accessing nearby ski resorts and sees substantial traffic, accommodating over 450,000 passengers annually.
Axonos' depiction of Jackson Hole Airport includes several noteworthy features:
- Correction of 500 square kilometers of high-resolution orthophoto for enhanced VFR (Visual Flight Rules) flights.
- Detailed apron and buildings featuring PBR (Physically Based Rendering) textures.
- Custom ground vehicles tailored specifically for Jackson Hole.
- High-resolution and detailed ground textures.
- Implementation of full SAM (Scenery Animation Manager) marshallers and seasons.
- Compatibility with World Traffic 3 and Just Flight Traffic Global.
- Hand-placed trees and houses surrounding the airport area.
- Updated textures and signs optimized for X-Plane 12.
The airport scenery is available for purchase at Axonos' store for $22.99.
X-Codr has updated their Sedona Airport (KSEZ) scenery, ensuring compatibility with X-Plane 12 and introducing several new features to enhance the airport and its surroundings. The update includes improved textures, animated 3D grass and people, as well as hand-sculpted 3D rock formations in the surrounding valley.
The revamp also incorporates detailed 3D interiors for most "feature buildings," providing a realistic and immersive experience. The scenery utilizes X-Plane 12's photometric PBR rendering engine, resulting in high-quality normal maps and realistic ground textures. Additionally, the airport features subtle grunge overlays, adding a natural and lifelike feel to the environment.
The Sedona Airport scenery offers a living airport experience, with randomly wandering cars that occasionally drive up to the gate and park on the apron. It also includes animated 3D people, trees, grass, and shrubs, utilizing X-Plane 12's new forest system.
The surroundings of Sedona Airport are enhanced with generic, regionally appropriate autogen for the surrounding valley, handcrafted rock formations, and low-poly landmarks. The scenery incorporates custom Ortho4XP Mesh and UHD Mesh V4 overlays.
X-Codr has optimized the scenery for excellent performance, ensuring VR readiness and achieving a constant 60 fps on high-end systems with near-max settings.
The updated Sedona Airport (KSEZ) scenery is available for purchase on the X-Plane.Org Store for $21.95. Existing owners of the X-Plane 11 version are eligible for a free update. The scenery requires at least 3GB of free disk space for installation.
SimHeaven has recently launched their highly regarded X-World America scenery for X-Plane 12. This comprehensive package, available for download, occupies a size of 7.4 GB and expands to 13.8 GB when extracted. The announcement was made through a post on their website, where they highlighted the following:
The X-World series, which includes popular sceneries like X-Europe, X-America, and more, continues its success in X-Plane 12. Unlike traditional autogen rules, SimHeaven adopts a different approach by utilizing OSM (OpenStreetMap) data along with Microsoft building footprints to accurately place objects in the scenery. This meticulous method results in a more realistic and immersive look and feel, enhancing the overall visual experience for users.
SimHeaven's X-World America scenery offers a vast coverage of the American continent, enriching the virtual flying experience with detailed and accurate representations of various locations. By incorporating real-world data, the scenery provides a heightened level of authenticity, capturing the essence of the American landscape.
Geo Reality Design has recently launched version 2 of its Global Forests addon for X-Plane 12, aimed at enhancing the immersive experience of the simulator by revamping and enriching X-Plane's vegetation. Global Forests 2 covers three major regions: Europe, North America, and Asia-Oceania. This updated version seamlessly integrates with Ortho4XP, terrain, and X-Plane 12's seasonal variations, offering a comprehensive solution for enhancing the environment.
The Global Forests v2 addon employs over 400 .for files, which leverage various tree types, vegetation, and density data. By utilizing real-world information, such as vegetation height and density derived from global map data, the addon creates a vibrant and dynamic world, appealing particularly to bush pilots and users who seek a heightened level of realism. The addon's ability to provide a living world feel based on real-world data adds a new dimension to the simulation experience.
Global Forests v2 is available for purchase on the X-Plane.ORG store for $15.00. For a more in-depth look at the addon and to see additional footage, viewers can check out the video available on Geo Reality Design's YouTube page.
