Quick review, just bought the Kmax and it works as described in 9x, but don`t expect the same in 10x. World of difference. Have been flying

choppers in every version of X-plane since early 5x. 10x and this type of chopper have a long ways to go in development. 9x was awesome

flying the adventures. Jim did a great job.

In 10x I could get off the ground but quickly loose control. Like the controls were amplifying input with every movement. After 20 crashes I decided to give the 9x

version a chance. Was glad i did, talk about fun challenges. 10x has a long road ahead to get there, patience is 9x.

2) The manual states the thing flies differently from "regular" helicopters because of the lack of tail rotor. My dad, who helped design and build the thing, told me about the training helicopter pilots have to do for certification. Even in the real world synchromesh aircraft take some getting used to.

You have to be very gentle with this thing at low speeds.

Everything was installed as per the instructions. I do know how to helicopters in X-Plane. having been doing so for over 10 years.

XP10 is still a work in progress as we all know. So, helicopters fly somewhat different depending upon the one you fly. The Kmax

flies just fine for me in 9x. 10x was a lesson in futility, was no fun getting it airborne only to quickly loose control. Not to worried

though. I have the MD-902 Explorer working just fine 10X.

I flew on the HH-43 in the USAF and took the controls several times very easy to fly K-1200 very touchy on controls .the 43 was the preecessor to the k-1200 . Used counter rotating rotors and tail rudder.
