Jedipie Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 People always say xp runs good on low end computers but mine doesn't lol. I have a decent computer. I play fsx all on max. I've heard that it runs better than fsx but not what I've seen. I always get the haze and crappy frames. Can anyone help? Thanks,Michael Quote
Ben Russell Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 You need to post more information about your system to receive any real help.At a guess I would say your OpenGL driver is out of date.As a second guess I would say that your machine might have an Intel CrayolaProcessingUnit (sorry, they simply don't count as GPU's).Update your driver, turn down your settings. The biggest killer in X-Plane can be world detail and detail distances.I have a new MacBook Pro with moderate GPU and VRAM and I have a very nice config that gives me 50fps+ everywhere. Jedipie Posted August 4, 2010 Author Report Posted August 4, 2010 I'm not really to familiar with computer hardware but here's some specs. Intel quad core Q8400 2.66ghzNvidia 8800gts3gb ramThat's all the major stuff I knowOh and I turned all the settings real low and it stays the same Quote
Ben Russell Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 Well, it's definitiley a real GPU. I'm not a Windows person anymore so the others may chime in with other advice. Are you running Vista 64bit?...bottom line, you should definitely get a better experience out of your machine. Quote
