X-Traffic Trouble

I can't get XTraffic to work!!! I've watched various tutorials and read manuals, but I just can't figure it out. Any ideas................?

There's too many variables to work out why its not working. Tell us what your doing and are the planes just not showing up? Or they do odd things...?

rush I use it a fair bit too. one prob I found is that it doesn't like xsquawkbox, as the planes don't appear if that is enabled. of clues the old RTFM principle applies and the forum is a good source. try using xtraffic recorder to record a small taxi, then load up anothe different plane, change position to watch, then load up the recorded file and play. ben's right, very hard to diagnose over the net!

I'm playing it back, but the planes aren't visible. I'll try removing xsquakbox. Thanks for the help.

How do you run multiple planes at once? I can only get one.

make sure your number of ai aircraft are one higher than the no. of planes u want to see- so if u want 15, make it 16.

Interesting, Simon. How did you do it? Create an object with four planes attacked to a single plane?

Thanks Garrett. It wasn't my doing, I did a Blog entry on it, I think I used the Diamond Slot formation team, the genius who made it must have turned one object into 4 by careful editing. So I had 19 by 4 planes, 76 all in one shot!

So even having xskquawkBox installed will make it so no a/c show up? All I'm getting is flying numbers

XSB is greedy about its use of AI aircraft, this has a long and obscure history.

Bottom line.

If you want to do anything with the AI aircraft REMOVE XSB from your plugins folder.

Disabling in-sim isn't enough, you need to stop it loading.
