vassalfada Posted November 5, 2014 Report Posted November 5, 2014 (edited) Hey, I can't say how much SMP 2.1 makes me happy, this is another huge step towards realism, a real delight to fly! Though, I can't get the forced cirrus clouds (and maybe real weather cirrus too) to display. I tried pretty much everything to shake it, incuding reinstalling, but no success. I already had this problem with the previous versions but the forced cirrus were usually back after disabling/enabling them in the SMP interface. But here, the trick doesn't work anymore. Any idea what I can do to get them back please ? Thanks EDIT : Forget it, they miraculously came back after I posted here Edited November 5, 2014 by vassalfada Quote
Cameron Posted November 5, 2014 Report Posted November 5, 2014 Very weird! Can you tell us a little more about your system (CPU, GPU, OS, etc), as well as post your log.txt for good measure? Thanks! Quote
JohnMAXX Posted November 5, 2014 Report Posted November 5, 2014 Curious what kind of hardware are you running? Also are you running any kind of third party weather injector or squawkbox? Quote
CaptCWGAllen Posted November 5, 2014 Report Posted November 5, 2014 I have the same issue - no forced cirrus - but I had the same issue with 2 - however I just add them through the weather application so no issue. cheersPeter Quote
vassalfada Posted November 5, 2014 Author Report Posted November 5, 2014 (edited) So, the cirrus clouds disappeared again after I changed airport... My system : i5 760 @2.80 GHz, 8GB RAM, MSI GTX 770 2Go, Win7 64 bits I'm using Xplane 10.30 real weather only, no third party weather injector . Framerate is excellent, no performance issue, even better now with SMP 2.1 Log.txt Edited November 5, 2014 by vassalfada Quote
sundog Posted November 6, 2014 Report Posted November 6, 2014 Clouds fade out with distance as a function of visibility, and cirrus clouds are very high. I see in your log that in this scene, the visibility was just 16 km. So, cirrus would be hard to see unless you were near their altitude in that case. Quote
vassalfada Posted November 6, 2014 Author Report Posted November 6, 2014 (edited) I see. Thanks for the explanation, I thought something was wrong but that was simple logic . Sorry for the false alert Edited November 6, 2014 by vassalfada Quote
