JohnMAXX Posted March 29, 2014 Report Posted March 29, 2014 Hey thanks for clearing that up Brick Tamland....... Quote
Agrajag Posted April 1, 2014 Report Posted April 1, 2014 Any chance of editing the first post on this thread with the always-current instructions to install this and the files needed? Sorry if I misunderstand something but it appears as if corrects appear throughout all four pages of the thread (and growing). Quote
SwissCyul Posted April 1, 2014 Report Posted April 1, 2014 Does anybody know a editing tool like Notepad for OSX Mountain Lion? I can't edit the .lua's because there is no tool for that. Any help is appreciated Quote
Cameron Posted April 1, 2014 Report Posted April 1, 2014 The default text app works just fine in OS X. Quote
SwissCyul Posted April 1, 2014 Report Posted April 1, 2014 Yeah, but you can't export .lua files with that application Quote
Ironmaiden Posted April 1, 2014 Report Posted April 1, 2014 I need some help , guys i am xpx on linux and i thought Flywithlua should work in linux but it not. I am sure I downloaded one for linux. Quote
Cameron Posted April 1, 2014 Report Posted April 1, 2014 Yeah, but you can't export .lua files with that application LUA files are text files. Just rename .txt to .lua Quote
SwissCyul Posted April 1, 2014 Report Posted April 1, 2014 I tried that, but the script didn't work in X Plane. But i have another solution now. I downloaded an emulator for mac and Notepad for windows, now i can edit the files normally Quote
Tom Knudsen Posted April 1, 2014 Author Report Posted April 1, 2014 Just edit and save as .lua no need for export Quote
SwissCyul Posted April 1, 2014 Report Posted April 1, 2014 As i mentioned before, I saved the files and renamed them to .lua. They didn't work in X Plane. Well it works now so no need to further discuss, but thanks for your help 1 Quote
puffy Posted April 2, 2014 Report Posted April 2, 2014 How do these scripts compare against the "Real Terra Haze for FlyWithLua 1.1" package that is available on the ".org" site? Would I want to run these scripts and "Real Terra Haze for FlyWithLua 1.1" at the same time or are they mutually exclusive? Thank you. Quote
Tom Knudsen Posted April 2, 2014 Author Report Posted April 2, 2014 As many of us are excluded from that horrible site, some of us may not be aware of such file or at least able to download it. My guess is as good as yours Quote
puffy Posted April 2, 2014 Report Posted April 2, 2014 Tom, Thanks, that is a good enough answer! Since you aren't aware of "Real Terra Haze for FlyWithLua 1.1" I will make the assumption that the scripts you have been posting here aren't dependent upon that package. Once again thank you. As many of us are excluded from that horrible site, some of us may not be aware of such file or at least able to download it. My guess is as good as yours Quote
Tom Knudsen Posted April 3, 2014 Author Report Posted April 3, 2014 Your assumptions are correct, our scripts are all evolved from that orginal thread over at avsimhttp://forum.avsim.net/topic/433305-cloud-shadows-and-misc/ which evolved into experimenting in this thread http://forum.avsim.net/topic/433908-experimenting-with-art-controls-raleigh-scattering/which again evolved into this thread and clones like it. The package on .org (and again I have not had the upertunity to investigate or look at it) may be the case that some though these scripts could be a great idea to packageand therefore uploaded it to the .org as their own. I removed all my uploads from that site just before (thank god) I got banned for life by moderators with a huge God complex and small wieners Quote
MercuryMat Posted April 3, 2014 Report Posted April 3, 2014 Hi Tom, the scripts you are talking about we're made by two Italian guys from the x-plane Italia forum. They did a nice work, tweaking all the original scripts from avsim and enhancing them. They are, at the end, completely reworked and re-calibrated, like they were done from zero. And they perform very well. I can suggest the guys to upload them also here, or I can give you if interested, by pm. Write me of you like! Sent from Mad iPad's Tapatalk Quote
Tom Knudsen Posted April 3, 2014 Author Report Posted April 3, 2014 Do that plz, love to try them Quote
MercuryMat Posted April 3, 2014 Report Posted April 3, 2014 Write me a pm so when I'm on PC I'll send to you. Sent from Mad iPad's Tapatalk Quote
Schorle Posted April 5, 2014 Report Posted April 5, 2014 (edited) Gentlemen, as promised. SkyMaxx Pro, Maxx-XP and FlywithLUA scripts together. Three Stooges? Awesome combination for my taste. Judge for yourself. First two are around KASE ( Aspen , CO) and the airport is KPHL ( Philadelphia International , like nobody knew it.. ) Enjoy! Cheers, AJ How do you get SkymaxPro to show cloud-shadows like in above pictures? I only get shadows when using default or aerosoft skytool clouds? Thank you! Edited April 5, 2014 by Schorle Quote
JohnMAXX Posted April 5, 2014 Report Posted April 5, 2014 Well look at that, cloud shadows must not be that important if you can't identify them.... Those images don't have any..... Quote
arb65912 Posted April 5, 2014 Report Posted April 5, 2014 As John said, I do not see any cloud shadows and with SkyMaxx Pro and Maxx FX I do not really need them but it is just my opinion. Cheers, AJ 1 Quote
Tom Knudsen Posted April 5, 2014 Author Report Posted April 5, 2014 Just had the chance to try out the "Real Terra Haze 1.1" that is offered on the .org site.I must admit that this did not have any mind blowing results as I was hoping, even an improvment. In fact, it turnes the world more blue and removed the "cloud reflections and turn down the shadows with SkyMaxx etc) So I concure that I will continue to the ones I have already as this is more realistic in my eyes. Real Terra Haze 1.1 The ones I use!! 2 Quote
