bruced39 Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 (edited) Seems after I updated to version 1.2 it has made x-plane crash 3 times trying to do a flight. here's the log. Just a simple weather push. XSB Weather push for: KOSAXSBWeather data: vis=18.000000 alt=30.510000,rain=0.000000,thun=0.000000XSBWeather wind: 0/2500/270/7/0/0 2500/10400/158/3/0/0 10400/22600/167/30/0/0 22700/90000/162/61/0/0XSBWeather temp: 100/5 10000/-17 18000/-28 35000/-61XSBWeather clouds: 0/3000/0/1/17 -1/-1/0/1/0 -1/-1/0/0/0Push complete.--=={This application has crashed because of the plugin: XSquawkBox}==-- The weather updates still cause a good amount of pausing as well. 1.1 Had never crashed for me, just had the long pauses. I also experiences weird discoloration of the cockpit screen during updates with weather. I tried to capture a picture but it was paused and couldn't. Sometimes it was all just weird colors or sometimes a patturn of numbers filling in the cockpit design. Never seen before in x-plane 10Dave Bruce Edited December 24, 2013 by bruced39 Quote
Cameron Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 You may need to take this one up with Wade at XSB. That log clearly shows his plugin is crashing. Be sure to send any related crash log to him too! As for the pauses, it should be about 75% faster. If it's not it's quite possible your GPU is just hammered. What kind is it? Quote
bruced39 Posted December 24, 2013 Author Report Posted December 24, 2013 My Computer was made by X-Force whom makes computers for X-Plane. It's built as follows: Prodigy Computer GPU: GeoForce GTX 780 4GB RAM DRIVER: 331.82 (newest) CPU: Intel Core i7-3770K @3.5GHz Clocked to 4.5 GHz (By the X-Force Company) Memory: 16GB RAM Resolution: 1920 x 1080, 60 Hz Windows 7 Home Premium I will also let Wade know as well. This computer should be plenty strong enough to handle this. I only have the following plugins installed using X-palne 10 64-bit:Xsquawkbox 64-bit,NOAA Weather,Gizmo64,Skymaxx pro,AirtrackFJCC_UFMCPython InterfaceXAcarsXpuipcXsaitekPanelsSasl Any help from your end would be great. I will also ask Wade. Dave Quote
Cameron Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 I agree that with a 780 you should not be having any crazy issues. This isn't a big multi monitor setup, is it? We'll keep looking into this, but I'm not sure how far we will get. One idea (if you have time) is to remove all plugins except Gizmo, Silverlining, and XSB and see if the problem persists. You also mention SASL. That should not be in your plugins folder if if is. Quote
bruced39 Posted December 24, 2013 Author Report Posted December 24, 2013 (edited) Cameron, I think it may have been a bad driver install. I just reinstalled the latest driver and am having great FPS and very short if at all weather updates from KJAX to KSAN. I will let you know If I run into any other snags. But as of now, been flying over 2 hrs and no problems and great FPS. Thank you. Dave P.S on a 1 monitor set up. I think the SASL only loads when I fly the Ramzzess 777. Its not a plugin in my resources/Plugins folder. Edited December 24, 2013 by bruced39 Quote
HarryCYUL Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 even on a fresh install of xp10 with no plug-ins......skymaxx still has problems on some computer setups. Quote
Cameron Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 even on a fresh install of xp10 with no plug-ins......skymaxx still has problems on some computer setups. Elaborate. That's not very useful. Quote
Jakob Ludwig Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 Elaborate. That's not very useful. Indeed. You need to specify that in detail. I have the same system as above, despite the Gpu is a 770 with 4GB. And there are no stops at loading.... Quote
pryoski Posted December 25, 2013 Report Posted December 25, 2013 (edited) even on a fresh install of xp10 with no plug-ins......skymaxx still has problems on some computer setups. I reckon that if you're going to say something ... make sure it's constructive ... flesh it out with specifics and information that can help get to a resolution; otherwise you're just sh*t stirring. There are enough whacko's on the Internet who'll spread innuendo until it becomes some hard to pin down truism that the uneducated start to believe is fact. Plenty of examples of this kind of cr@p happening before in the XP universe. You're not that kind of guy are you mate? Edited December 25, 2013 by Kris Pryo 2 Quote
Hueyman Posted December 25, 2013 Report Posted December 25, 2013 I hate to report problems/bug as I know it's the beginning of the hell for devs, but I did not launched X-Plane for a while, and in the meantime I made the update to 1.2 Launched it today, changing weather and crash ... here is the logLog.txt Quote
