eaglewing7 Posted April 11, 2010 Report Posted April 11, 2010 This is a great plane. But, I have one major problem...This problem is related to the jgxC400v1.00 plugin. This plugin makes it impossible to use any other plane. I constantly need to disable this plugin upon starting X-Plane, and then re-load the plane I want to use. For example, I'm flying Nils' BK-117 and it will not start unless I disable the plugin. Is there anyway that this plugin could be modified to make it stop interfering with other planes?
eaglewing7 Posted April 11, 2010 Author Report Posted April 11, 2010 I also forgot to add that the GIZMO plugin also must be removed before using the BK-117, otherwise the battery will constantly flicker on and off. Also another problem that can hopefully be fixed eventually.
Ben Russell Posted April 11, 2010 Report Posted April 11, 2010 It sounds like you've moved the Corvalis plugin out of it's aircraft package.I believe the Corvalis plugin is designed to live next to the Corvalis ACF.Eg: Once you unzip the corvalis folder DO NOT go into the plugins folder and move things around. As for the BK-117, that's very odd. Gizmo tries to ensure that it resets itself when you change aircraft, there is nothing in it that touches any battery code at all. There are no existing scripts published that touch the battery code.I'd love to test, but I don't have a copy of the 117.I'm wondering if you've moved some other plugins around, if you've done it for the Corvalis you've probably done it for others as well. What, exactly, is in your <XPLANE>/Resources/plugins/ folder? Can you start X-Plane up and post your log.txt here?
Cameron Posted April 11, 2010 Report Posted April 11, 2010 Hi, Eaglewing,As Indi- has stated, the issues you speak of are indicative of a plug-in being moved from OUT of the aircrafts directory to the resources/plugins folder. Nothing should ever be removed from the aircraft folder after it's been unzipped!
eaglewing7 Posted April 11, 2010 Author Report Posted April 11, 2010 Well I'll make sure that the Corvalis plugin is in the aircraft's folder. And then I'll start up and check the logs. Would you like the Gizmo plugin in the plugins folder, or out?
eaglewing7 Posted April 11, 2010 Author Report Posted April 11, 2010 Hmm...Sometimes X-Plane makes me wonder. Today I start up, with Gizmo installed, and the plugin safely in its aircraft folder. And, sure enough, there is no interference from any other plugin and the BK-117 which has it's own plugin.

And, sure enough, there is no interference from any other plugin and the BK-117 which has it's own plugin.Hi, there,That was the response we were hoping for. X-Plane will (by default) load every plug-in located in the resources/plugins folder. As you can imagine, this will cause a massive headache with various aircraft plugins doing their own things to the X-Plane systems, from fuel flow, to amps, to activation hiccups, etc. X-Plane will think all of these plugins should be active for whatever aircraft you have loaded, so to fix this Laminar added the plugins folder within the aircraft folder feature. Doing so makes X-Plane ONLY keep active whatever plugins are in the resources/plugins folder and the aircraft folder. So, for example, if you keep the MU-2 plug-in in its respective aircraft folder, and the Corvalis plug-in within its respective aircraft folder then X-Plane will ONLY load those plug-ins if the aircraft is open in sim.Glad you seem to be back up and running!
