Hi, Pete,

The most commonly used application is called Goodway. You can see this here: http://www.xpgoodway.com/

I must first warn you that I hear mixed reviews these days about Goodway delivering their licenses in a timely manner to purchasing customers. Sometimes it's right away, other times it's weeks.

My personal favorite application for X-Plane exported flight plans is FSBuild: http://fsbuild.com/

Hi Cameron,

Ive been using Goodway for a while now but have had real problems after updating to the latest version and found out I was back on demo version. I cant get the lisence number back and am stuck. I am thinking of ditching Goodway.

What are the benefits of fsbuild over Goodway?

slainte,

Andy

Hi, Andy,

There are a ton of details listed on FSBuild here: http://secure.simmarket.com/ernie-alston-fsbuild-2.phtml

Though it doesn't have a plug-in running in X-Plane, it DOES export flight plans to X-Plane, and does it well. The nav data is updated every cycle, and the best part about that is that the nav data cycles are FREE to you as a customer!

It's just always been my personal preference....

I also note on the Goodway site that it appears they are no longer allowing demo downloads or purchases.

I just checked the Goodway site and demos/freeware are still available for all platforms in the downloads area. My initial look at FSBuild seems to indicate that it only supports the Windows platform.
