jjetmec Posted September 25, 2013 Report Posted September 25, 2013 Hello: 1st Really excited with this aircraft, great flying and feels realistic. Everything worked from download, to start-up, to config of Cond Levers, and 1st flight. But on every flight I have the same issue usually pop up script box aprox 10mins into a flight during climb and enroute. I get this script box that pops up middle of screen listing a log of process and issues. In red are comments regarding the Gizmo 64 having an issue with the torque automatic monitoring system that controls throttle, rpms, and condition lever. I apologize but did not record exact wording and don't recall the flight system name...the system that is turned on via the the 2-s/w located right below throttle quadrant right side of pedistal. Once this happens everything continues to work but I loose complete control of the Power and Cond lever, usually locked at max. No matter what I do, i.e. manual manipulations with mouse, or throttle axis assignment movement, and re-assignment results in no change, locked power and condition controls. I even reset gizmo plug-in during flight, recalibrated axis, everything I could think of. Only remedy is reset flight to cold and dark and then re-assign axis. I belive the only time this did not occur was when I forgot to activate the auto system that monitors the torque as mentioned above. This is only time I could complete a flight and land. So frustrated b/c cannot find a solution. Using high-end system with Warthog joystick and throttle. Win 7 Home, I7 4.1mhz, Nividia GPU with 2GB. No similar issues noted with other complex aircraft on 64bit x-plane. Only once did above issue result in total PC lock which needed a hard re-boot with black screen and loud hum, no ability to get back to desktop...that was a 1st and sort of scary. But got everything running again. Thanx JJetmec Quote

wcschulz3 Posted September 25, 2013 Report Posted September 25, 2013 Here is a similar error.I'm not having much luck completing even short flights--get a drop out of X-Plane without warning nearly every flight. Will be patient, though....she's a lovely bird Bill Quote

I have found the bug and corrected it. This will be available in the next update. In the meantime you can still fly the aircraft. This error was occurring with the CTOT turned on. So, one way to fly is to simply not use the CTOT for now. The other way (a little more tricky) would be to use CTOT but keep the torque setting low. The error will occur only when using CTOT and the engine temperature exceeds 962˚ C, so keeping the torque setting low should avoid exceeding this temp level. JUst keep and eye on the temps and dial the torque down as necessary. JimLeas ProgrammerLES Saab 340A Quote

I've had a couple of crash to desktop when I didn't think I had CTOT in use...but I may have flipped that switch on the overhead panel....the one "long" (15 minute) flight I had was pure manual flying...no CTOT and no autopilot. I'll try another hand flown flight and see how long I can go Bill Quote
jjetmec Posted September 27, 2013 Author Report Posted September 27, 2013 I will try a screen shot but I believe it looked identical to screen posted above, fairly sure same issue except it only CTD 1x, all other times it just kept on running but w/o any control of power. Will post again if screen looks different from above. I belive the one successful flight I had was when I did not operate the function noted. Thanx jjetmec Quote
