Noplamodo Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 I don't wish any liveries...just gimme the paintkit. ;D Quote
Jack Skieczius Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 there is a 152 down across from the hanger i fly out of at my local airport for sale. new paint job, not sure of the inside, but they only want 23.5kis that reasonable for a 152? Quote
Airbus Posted May 24, 2010 Author Report Posted May 24, 2010 Well it depends on the year and how many hours its has, annuals and all of the other stuff that goes along with buying an plane. They can run dirt cheap. Ive wanted to buy one and completely restore it; that would make a wonderful summer project. Would be great to put my a&p knowledge to use.Take a look at this, this is a rebuild of a 150.http://www.tnwings.com/n2673j.htmVery simple aircraft to work on.http://www.aso.com/listings/AircraftListings.aspx?act_id=1&mg_id=21I usually check this site for rates on used aircraft. Jack Skieczius Posted May 25, 2010 Report Posted May 25, 2010 neat. i just wonder how i would feel sitting in one. i fly(rent) a c172 now for my flight training, i wonder if a 152 would be to small for me.i will take a look at it when i go down again this weekend. what i really want is a Remos GX. lol Quote
olafg Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 I don't know about the 152, but I've flown the 150, and it's really cramped with two male adults in the cockpit. Not something you would go on a grand tour with. Quote
Airbus Posted May 27, 2010 Author Report Posted May 27, 2010 olafg the 152 is just about the same.I'm 5'7 and I made it in. Squeaks and rattles all over the place, I thought I was going to break something climbing into it!I would say comfort depends on how tall you are. Quote
WombatBoy Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Haha, my instructor has a saying"You don't get in one of these...you put it on" Quote
Kaphias Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 I agree, I remember getting in our 152 and then getting in a friends 172... like a Mini versus a Hummer!"You don't get in one of these...you put it on"Love that quote. ;D Quote
Airbus Posted May 28, 2010 Author Report Posted May 28, 2010 Here are some basic clay renders of the cabin. I'm in the process of figuring out the best way to texture in fabric and panel details. Quote
WombatBoy Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 Are the pens going to be clickable Seriously, it's looking great. I have a high res panel shot of the 150 I fly if you'd like it. It's 3872x2928 pixels or something. Quote
JBalsa Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 Good work so far!Dont forget the small emergency kit compartment in the bottom left of the cabin.(This is a particularly ugly example, but it works)http://hampage.hu/repules/muszerfal/SJG2.jpg Quote
Airbus Posted May 29, 2010 Author Report Posted May 29, 2010 Thanks for the encouragement guys Jason, I'm not sure of where the emergencty kit is in that photo.WombatBoySeriously, it's looking great. I have a high res panel shot of the 150 I fly if you'd like it. It's 3872x2928 pixels or something.Sure why not. Ill take a look at it. Quote
JBalsa Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 Gah! I've mistaken left and right once again! >Bottom right of the photo was what I meant to say. Here's a close up of the compartment in the Cessna I fly, of course they vary allot.-Jason Quote
Airbus Posted June 12, 2010 Author Report Posted June 12, 2010 Sorry for the late response.I had the door modeled there but I removed and forgot to replace it. It will make it there Quote
Airbus Posted June 24, 2010 Author Report Posted June 24, 2010 Lost most of my mind working on this. Yeah the door is still missing. Something to keep the interest. Quote
WombatBoy Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 Nice and grotty Just the way I like it. Quote
Airbus Posted June 30, 2010 Author Report Posted June 30, 2010 Quick video. Must make float model. Quote
Oliver Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 No problem. I'm still working on bits of the fuselage and cockpit. The other day I went back and re mapped the fuselage over two maps instead of one. That makes panting all those rivets much easier. The cockpit has some animations started also. Ill Work on getting some new shots of the exterior soon; May is kind of a busy month.Stay tuned .Can't wait Jason, this is the main plane I currently fly, fun little ACF! Can't wait for release! StormyPilot Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 Looking very promising. You don't happen to be planning to include a livery paint kit are you? *hint hint* Quote
Oliver Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 Looking very promising. You don't happen to be planning to include a livery paint kit are you? *hint hint*I second that! I'd love to make my flight school livery ;D Quote
Airbus Posted July 2, 2010 Author Report Posted July 2, 2010 Yes it will have a paint kit included. But its spread across two 2048 texture pngs. Quote
