Dude, wasn't meant to be an attack at all!  I wan't "taking you down" for being a teenager.  I was just like you when I was your age.  Only appreciated my dad when he did or said what I wanted him to.

Good luck with the cockpit.  XHSI rocks.  You might take a look at AirTrack, too, if you want to use iPods or iPads for your instruments.

As for projectors, you can find them from around $200 up.  Just remember you get what you pay for.

I recommend Epson projectors.  I have one I bought 8 years ago for $2800 and have only replaced the $350 lamp once.  We use it to project our images for sales.  But it is high resolution and way overkill for what you want.  I think the Epsons start around $399.

Sweet... Air track looks great, i might pick up. A crappy old ipad 1st gen for that.

What about the MU-2?

Im checking the range. Thanks for the suggestion and im doing some research on that beaut right now, looks like a beautiful plane.

So I have some information on the MU-2 from a friend's dad who is an ACA A330, B777, and B767 pilot, and he says it's a pain in the ass to land. I'd love some other options for cockpits to model.

She's certainly a challenge, but I wouldn't say she's a pain in the ass.  Tom's MU-2 was the first payware aircraft I ever invested in and is still one of my all-time favorites.  With a very true flight model and a beautiful exterior and cockpit, I still think she'd be an awesome plane to create a home cockpit with.

Alright. I guess my information was from a guy who primarily flies (a) light sports planes and (B) fly by wire airliners. :D

I hope your sim is going well...

Try the alenia c-27j it has a range of 3,100 miles and can cruise at 325kts and has a ceiling of 30,000ft here's a picture of the cockpit http://files.air-att...it_20110706.jpg

Where can I find the alenia C-27J for XPlane?  I found it for FSX, but my sim efforts are with XPlane.

Thanks.

lol I was saying that as in you'll have to make the flight model but this plane will work never knew someone had actually made one   (Now if only I wasn't running out of hard drive space I would download that (3 TB's isn't enough))

EDIT:Sorry I forgot total I have 4.48tb's of hard drive space 3tb on my main system  :P

HOLY THREAD REVIVAL BATMAN

Also I'll just add that I'm doing nothing about my planned cockpit until my dad upgrades his office and dumps his old computers so I can use them for other views.
