i<3xplane10 Posted November 18, 2012 Report Posted November 18, 2012 Nice!Maybe add some people inside? MatThat would be nice but, we still want this plane to run well right? Dean 2
Michael_Chang Posted November 19, 2012 Author Report Posted November 19, 2012 Just updated the United airlines cabin, got the business class seats in and blocked out the whole thing to figure out space usage, here are the progress shots, after this, on the list, is to bake new floor textures and texture the seats and economy class chairs
Michael_Chang Posted November 19, 2012 Author Report Posted November 19, 2012 Here's an exterior shot of the 787
clavel9 Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 Here's an exterior shot of the 787That's a sharp looking scheme, very nice work on the stripe in particular. The United titles and US flag look a bit big though.
ktomais Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 Looks a lot better than the pay-ware in my opinion, great work. However a question, will the edges look like that or is it because you don’t use AA. 1

Michael_Chang Posted November 19, 2012 Author Report Posted November 19, 2012 Speaking of AA, here's some full AA shots XDThis is all the liveries that i've done so far 1
Peter T. Posted November 20, 2012 Report Posted November 20, 2012 you know the answer already. as usual-when it is done.
Kaphias Posted November 20, 2012 Report Posted November 20, 2012 Watched the ANA 787 take off from KSEA yesterday. Beautiful machine, and very quiet too.
SeanLow99 Posted November 21, 2012 Report Posted November 21, 2012 Um, will you be making a Singapore Airlines livery for it? I think that that livery would be beautiful on such a magnificent aircraft. 1
Peter T. Posted November 21, 2012 Report Posted November 21, 2012 we only do liveries to airlines that have ordered the 787, Singapore Airlines did not order the 787, only a350s. so we will not make a livery for it.
howardthepilot1999 Posted November 21, 2012 Report Posted November 21, 2012 Hey peter! Could you guys please to the Hainan Airlines livery for it! Hainan airlines just received their first 787-8 earlier on. Check out the photo, my friend spotted it in the Boeing field! Thanks and keep up the good work!
Michael_Chang Posted November 21, 2012 Author Report Posted November 21, 2012 We'll actually be refraining from any new liveries for the time being, and will be waiting for Elanport to finish his textures for the plane
Michael_Chang Posted November 23, 2012 Author Report Posted November 23, 2012 I just imported the 787 into XP 10, and i'm posting this information, if you own the 767, you should expect a possible 5-10 frame decrease in rendering
Orcair Posted November 24, 2012 Report Posted November 24, 2012 Um, will you be making a Singapore Airlines livery for it? I think that that livery would be beautiful on such a magnificent aircraft.Singapore has stated that all 787s will be going to its low-cost subsidiary Scoot.
clavel9 Posted November 24, 2012 Report Posted November 24, 2012 Singapore has stated that all 787s will be going to its low-cost subsidiary Scoot. That's a bit depressing: the Singapore livery is still a classic, but Scoot is among the worst, most garish modern liveries.
Michael_Chang Posted November 24, 2012 Author Report Posted November 24, 2012 Let's not forget, Scoot ordered 787-9s not 787-8s
Ryan M. Posted November 24, 2012 Report Posted November 24, 2012 Yes, I also hate scoot's livery. Good work nonetheless Michael!
79carboy Posted November 24, 2012 Report Posted November 24, 2012 The united livery looks amazing, keep up the gOod work
Michael_Chang Posted November 25, 2012 Author Report Posted November 25, 2012 I just finished adding a brand new feature to the 787's wing. See, when the 787 takes off, the inboard flaperon gets pulled up by heavy hydraulic pumps to prevent exhaust and vibration damage between 30 and 80 kts, then, at 80 kts, the flaperon gets lowered back down to match the flaps, and the plane continues like nothing ever happened. the 777 also has this feature in real life.X-Plane movie_787_2.mov 1
maple-syrup Posted November 25, 2012 Report Posted November 25, 2012 It's amazing how much effort your putting into this! If I understand this correctly your also making ground spoilers come up at different times right? BTW your United livery looks amazing! I hope you can release the LITE version by Christmas!
Michael_Chang Posted November 25, 2012 Author Report Posted November 25, 2012 unfortunately, ground spoilers aren't behaving, so we'll have to find a different way to do those
