Does X-Plane 10 save situations better?

Does X-Plane 10 save situations better? What I mean is that if you have a long flight you want to make in legs and if you want to save the situation in mid-air so you can continue from there on a different day, I remember X-Plane 9 didn't really save it cleanly. Many control and systems settings weren't remembered which made is impossible to truly just load a situation and go. Sometimes even the engines would be off mid-air upon loading a situation. This was especially common on third party aircraft. Has this been improved with the newer version? Can anyone please confirm?
