Hi - nice plane, but VR performance is very bad, about the worst, if not the worst of all my addon aircraft.  I'm using the latest XP12 release (12/24/24) and your latest 1.0.2 version also released 12/24/24.  Quest 3 with airlink is an absolute no-go, and plugged in w/link cable is still very bad.

My machine specs:
13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900KF   3.00 GHz, 64.0 GB RAM, Win11 home 12H2 build, and RTX 4070 GPU w/11 GB VRAM (I think that's the VRAM count) HDR is off.

Would replacing my GPU with a 4080 (or even a 4090) help performance?  My XP settings are all "average"/mid range for VR performance sake.

Is anyone else experiencing such bad VR performance?

Thanks, and Merry Christmas to all,
Jim

Just saw your post, I am running an i9 14900k, EVGA 690 Dark Kingpin, 64gb DDR5, nVidia RTX4090fe from SSD's. HP Reverb G2

I loaded the Citation with 8k textures and the system runs smoothly, no stutters or tearing. I fly VR only and can't at this moment give you FPS since I have not turned on OpenXR. Flights were from KPDK to KATL  (Nimbus) to KFFC were I kept my Mooney.

I don't know if this information helps you but to Coop I do not see any real difference between this and any of my TorqueSim products or any other aircraft that I fly.

Yes they are awful expensive, I went from a EVGA RTX3090 to the 4090 and of-course with a big jump in performance. The RTX5090's are right around the corner and I am looking forward to what they say is a 48% increase over my 4090. My current settings are max on the left side(2xMSAA) and right side max except Render distance and World objects both on 'high'. CPU is clocked at 6ghz. memory at 6000.

I've been a loyal fan of EVGA for many, many years. I have their 1000W  supply. And most of their other products. Broke my heart when they got into some tiff with nVidia and stopped making gpu's the 3090 being the last one. I bought the nvidia 4090fe mostly due to size constraints.

I an 83 years old, retired 34 years ago, purchased  and moved onto a motor yacht, presently in St Maarten, Dutch West Indies in the Caribbean. As you must imagine, other than expenses associated with this boat, I have little to spend money on which enables the ability to buy whatever hardware I need to fly X-Plane since I miss having owned my own aircraft , a Mooney which I purchased new in 1967 and have more than 10,000 hours of pilot in command time in that aircraft and many others. Kind of a special case.

I have all but begged Coop to complete and release the updated Mooney's, please before I die.

Noted. That salty air is healthy. I'm just about done with all the Citation bugs and as soon as I get settled into my next living situation I plan on attacking the Mooney asap!

Thank you so much for the encouragement, you can come live with me and we can work on the Mooney together.

Yes,

I am experiencing odd behavior as well.  When I say ODD, I mean the hand Controllers will show click zones but will not interact. i am using OpenXR and my frames are in the the 30's.  I followed the instructions in the VR Bible YT vid from Primo.  I just can't seem to get the controllers to activate the click spots.  Oddly enough, the Hand controller image in the HMD also appears reversed.  L/H controller in the R/H.  I'm away from the pc right now so, I can't attach a LOG file.  but will later.

Otherwise, in pancake mode I LOVE this little plane.  Tube-liner feel with GA accessibility.  A great combination for sure.

I am positive it will continue to get better, as my learning of VR and the product grow!

Thanks for the plane Coop,

Steven

Here are some of what I am dealing with.

1. Boot up the Quest 3.

2. Run XP through the desktop in the headset, ( I can't seem to boot up the sim on the monitor and then switch to VR) configure my flight, allow it it to load up.

3. Enable VR and put on the headset.  I'm in the cockpit with 30-40 FPS.  I see the hand controllers. And clickspots illuminate. Push buttons and see them move (no menu appears and the highlighted control does not move)

4. If I exit and try another aircraft, the Hand controllers have no affect on the menu board in the hangar as well.

5. If I boot up in the Headset and select a default aircraft, everything seems to work.

I am new to VR and I'm sure there may be things I am doing that might not be correct.  But otherwise, VR has been a hit and (mostly)miss experience.
