You can revert to the prior gear handling by disabling the new custom interface via the settings.cfg file in the CJ aircraft directory -> plugins/cj_systems/settings.

In that file, set the value of the line "use_custom_nose_steer" to 0.

I see now NWS is done by the rudder. Is there an option to do this by tiller as in version 1.00?

To be clear, this is how it is in the real plane — the 525 does not have a separate tiller

Imo during taxi, the updated NWS is really great.

But on Take-off, I struggle to maintain control as the NWS gets very sensitive. The plane veers off to the side even with a very little rudder imput, and when trying to go back towards the centerline I go into PIO at nearly every take off.

Is there a possibility to dampen / disconnect the NWS on take-off, or is it just a matter of fiding the best axis imput curve ?

Every control system is going to behave differently, so there is some where the axis curve is better. The system will be tuned a bit more with v1.0.2 though.
