How can a saved FMS plan be loaded into the GNS? I try but am unable to achieve it.

Aha, so the Co flight plans are not loaded by the GNS, but by the 530...Thanks will try this.

Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean. The 530 is the GNS. Are you referring to the UNS-1 FMC?

I believe it can also read standard XP FMS files for flight plans. Maybe @amyinorbit can offer some instructions.

To load a pilot route in the UNS-1:

1. Press the [FPL] function key to call up the flight plan page;
2. If there are fewer than two legs on the flight plan, a "COPY PLT RTE" prompt is present on the FPL 1/1 page; Otherwise, Delete the flight plan and insert your departure airport.
3. Select the COPY PLT RTE prompt (LSK 4 Right), then pick the route you want in the list

As Pils said, the FMS just reads whatever is in `X-Plane/Output/FMS Plans`, and that's what will be listed on that page

How is that actually done?

Do I enter the number (after pressing NEXT to reach the right page)

then press RETURN or ENTER? None of that actually selects any plan.

Check that there isn’t an FMS message (a yellow flashing “MSG” on the title line of the CDU screen). It’s possible the flight plan file is bad and could not be read (in which case your Log file would be helpful )

I will check it. I will provide a log next time, as I have since used Xplane for a different plane.
