Torbinator Posted September 26, 2023 Report Posted September 26, 2023 (edited) Hello, I made this narrated video demo watchable at this dropbox link to show the change in level of detail exterior views I'm seeing from the X-Plane 11 version IXEG v1.33 vs the XP 12 v1.5.0 / 1.5.1. Hopefully this can be adjusted for us that like to watch extended replay angles and distances for review, entertainment, and content creation. EDIT: I am not running any LOD plug-ins. Pils Posted September 27, 2023 Report Posted September 27, 2023 Wouldn't surprise me if LR changed something to optimise VRAM, etc. Quote
Torbinator Posted September 27, 2023 Author Report Posted September 27, 2023 It's not Laminar, because when you zoom in and out on terrain, the trees draw in with the zooming in. Quote
Pils Posted September 27, 2023 Report Posted September 27, 2023 (edited) They could apply different rules to aircraft than scenery. Not trying to make excuses here, I'm sure Jan/Tom will look into it. Edited September 27, 2023 by Pils 1 Quote
Litjan Posted September 27, 2023 Report Posted September 27, 2023 There is currently a bug with X-Plane where aircraft loose "parts" when zooming in on them from a distance. Nothing we have influence over. Quote

Litjan Posted September 27, 2023 Report Posted September 27, 2023 You don´t really have to file it with LR, it is known as XPD-14421. Quote

Torbinator Posted September 28, 2023 Author Report Posted September 28, 2023 Thanks again guys, you're correct as it seems to be a Laminar issue. I ran the same test in a few other aircraft, similar results. Feel free to delete this msg, or, save it so others making my mistaken assumption might see this before posting. 1 Quote
