This is the only Huey I found around, project which was never finished. There was also the Pip's Huey.

I don't know who are the mysterious developers that currently make a payware Huey, I'm hurry to know more about it , " as time progresses .. "

I am all for this project..I was lucky enough to get behind the controls of a civilian version for a bit over a half an hour and I became hooked.Thank you Valentin for referring me to this site!I would love to see this helicopter come alive in X-plane!Hope to see a civilian version as well

Yeah Flyer , That's good ! Good ?! No, I'd rather say fantastic.

I just would like that people voted " No " explain briefly why ..

Almost all good helicopters for X-Plane are modern one ( BK-117, EC-135,MD-902,R-22 .. )

We can't have just last gen helicopters, with glass cockpit, zero vibration and totally flight assisted..

And the Huey is not just one among others....

So, give me your arguments ^^

LOVE the Huey. The absolute work horse of the skies.

I'll probably never fly one in the 'real' world so looking forward to seeing this one.

Beautiful work sofar....cant barely wait

I would really love a Huey .. I used to fly in them as baggage back in a previous life-time. I haven't been able to catch conclusive news of an X-Plane Iriquois, but Belsimtek are making one for DCS it seems.

The reason I voted no was because I would rather someone else made the Huey. From a painter's point of view, Conex's paintkits are a nightmare to work with, because he includes shadows and some detailing as part of the paint layer, rather than separate ones.

I have seen this on both his B206 and R22, and at the very least it means having to re-create both the paint layer from scratch and eliminate the shadows, and recreate them all on separate layers.
It's a lot of work to do before you can even start creating a livery. I would love to have done B206 and R22 liveries, but tbh I don't have the time to carry out corrective work first.

At least, we got DCS : UH-1 which is pretty impressive  ... probably the most advanced Huey simulation ever done. I really doubt any model for X-Plane/FS will reach that level of simulation of all systems, from hydraulics, to turbine management, passing by mast bumping etc etc ...

I'd have to agree that the levels of simulation in DCS is pretty awesome. I dream that we'll get the same degree of hyper realism/ complex aircraft in X-Plane ... but that's just my preference.

I do believe that the levels of high fidelity in X-Plane are heading in the right direction; SAAB and iXEG. I hope that JRollon's aircraft (particularly the JS32) and I know that Tom Kyler's MU-2 will, receive upgrades through to the future.

On top of that X-Plane offers a more complete world and as I'm not really into air combat these days, I much prefer X-Plane .. but hats off to DCS!

Actually,  it's really two different worlds ...

I would not see the pont of modeling such complex systems like the A-10 subsystems etc, in a " civil " simulator, when your only threats are the weather, the risk of being late if you're an airline pilot or the bingo fuel ...

I really enjoy flying both, but I have to admit I LOVE DCS, as the missions ( especially in " weak " aircrafts such the Huey, not much defended not powerful ) is very rewarding and bring a huge satisfaction at the end of the mission when you succeed it, while in X-Plane, I really fly on my own chief, without any real order to follow.

I think everyone find him/herself in any of those very detailed simulators.

Agree that it's 2 different worlds (I use DCS as well), but I believe there's every reason to model civil aircraft to the same degree .. yes, including subsystems. Why does one have to be dealing with SAM launches to justify having hi-fidelity in depth systems at our disposal? I wouldn't be flying an A-10 in X-Plane as I already have the DCS version to play around with, I just want the systems depth available in DCS to also be available in X-Plane on a selection of civil aircraft.

I's the philosophy of having hi-fidelity complex systems & sub-systems (plus awesome FM and environmental/weather & terrain) that I'm excited about, which is why I'm really looking forward to the SAAB and the IXEG ... and that PMDG are coming to the X-Plane table.

I agree with your statements.

The fact is, every DCS module has been studied for years and made as real as it gets, and there are very few.

While X-Plane is populated with really bad quality files. While nowadays, it's starting to raise, we still see some ( even payware ! ) files coming along ...

One will say " you don't like it ? don't buy ! " but it blackens the overall X-Plane image IMHO.

Anyway, eargerly awaiting the Saab too, as well as IXEG, SMS Beaver, Trident Bell 412, Dream Foils Hughes 300, Dan Klaue's Quest Kodiak and the soon to be released An-2

Well, there's room for all :) ... note that FC3 isn't systems heavy either.

XP has the advantage that you can take a 'lite' plane e.g the default KingAir .. and get a 'heavy' experience by utilising planning software (there's a few), FMS software (freeware and payware) and real world procedures via a number of resources ... all of which a missing in DCS (as an integrated experience).

DCS excels in .. blowing things up ... but I'm not really interested in that anymore.

That's true ...

About the C90, it's really the best default plane I've ever seen ! Thanks Tom Kyler !

I would love someone agrees to take it as a base and develop it even further, I mean turbine management, systems etc etc. I already asked him once, never answered back.

I hope Carenado will convert their C90B or B200 one day, I got tired of the banal GA ones.
