I purchased this software yesterday but cannot get it to work in my Aerobask Lancair it shows in the plugin menu but will not load into the panel of the lanceair.

Also, x-aviation (i purchased from them) provided a Cessna 172 with the G500 suite loaded into it had problems. the G500 was loaded into the Cessna panel but will not pop out.

Integration into the panel of an aircraft requires the aircraft developer to integrate it into the panel objects. From the G500 menu under Plugins in the aircraft, there are commands to open the popup windows.

sorry but could you be more specific?

It doesn't seem to work with my Lancair. and there are no instructions...........Guess I just wasted $5!

Hay Christmas to you all up in the frozen North.

Christmas morning and I had a sleepless night with all the noise of parades and calibration's down here in warm, sunny Ajijijc Mexico.

Thought I would check to see if anyone had figured out what's wrong with my G500 software.

Hopefully you guys up North in the USA are enjoying your white Christmas.

OK, time to fire up X Plane and fly for an hour or so.

I know it's the holidays' and all that Stuff, but I was hoping someone would get back to my post and explain how I can get the G500 to install/work in the Aeorobask Lancair evolution RG.

I really cannot afford to spend $50 on software that isn't working for me.

What more are you looking for here? Cooper already quite clearly answered you above, so there's really not much else to add here.

You cannot just magically make the G500 appear into a 3D panel with no work. So long as you install the G500 to an aircraft, you can at least get the 2D popups to show while using that aircraft, just as Coop discussed above. Your log shows you installed it to the Lancair, so I'm not sure what more you're expecting.

You can read the additional documentation here:

https://help.realsimgear.com/en/articles/5607820-integration-guide-for-realsimgear-g500-for-x-plane

You're not going to be able to really get the G500 to appear in the 3D cockpit without modifying the actual 3D files of the cockpit. Aerobask would have to do that.

Aloha Cameron,

You explained the problem quite eloquently, I now fully understand.
I am a long-time flight simmer (as you can see from all of the purchases I have made in your store)., I have little computer knowledge and no coding experience.
Yes, I obviously made a mistake purchasing this software, I must be more careful in the future, I apologize if my post upset you, that was not my intention. I take full responsibility for my lack of computer
knowledge I will continue to fly the fantastic Hot start TBM, I will delete the G500 software as it is of no use to me.

Regards, Peter McLaren
