vasanta Posted July 27, 2022 Report Posted July 27, 2022 Hey, just a minor thing, but the beacon lights are - other than the NAV lights - not illuminating the ground. Quote

tkyler Posted August 3, 2022 Report Posted August 3, 2022 vasanta is correct, it is not illuminating. The rotating beacon uses a quite complex default effect from X-Plane...which was done by Alex Gifford (aka propsman) and is about as good as it gets for non-LED effects IMO; however, it never utilized HDR 3D lighting at the time. I originally did have 3D illuminating lights in place, but X-Plane occludes the effect if the 3D lights are placed inside the lens. Placing the 3D lights outside the lens just look good so I left it out until a better "aha" moment struck me or XP12 improves upon it (which I have not tested)...the reflections particularly. I may give this another go, certainly I'd like the effect in. -TomK Quote

OneOffRegistrationUser Posted February 8, 2023 Report Posted February 8, 2023 Check this and also HDR might be a case. Beacon still the thing, rest are OK. Quote

I will absolutely be fixing it. I'm on an IXEG binge at the moment, but will move back to the MU2 to finish the port right after. It won't be terribly long and I'll get this stuff fixed up. -tkyler 2 Quote
