Prefect99 Posted April 2, 2022 Report Posted April 2, 2022 I’ve always expected that the DME from a TACAN is available on the civil frequency. I’ve tried recently but it doesn’t work, I notice in the xplane map that the civil frequency isn’t listed though, so is this a challenger limitation or Xplane?

ois650 Posted April 3, 2022 Report Posted April 3, 2022 There's been some changes to how TACAN/DME works in X-Plane over the years. It's caused issues in other airplanes before so I would put this one down to X-Plane. It would seem that X-Plane 12 TACAN will behave properly. 1

Thanks, did seem that way with the DME freq not showing in the map. I wonder if it’s simply a question of the channel parings needing to be added, do you know if the frequency is included in the navdata or just the channel?
ois650 Posted April 3, 2022 Report Posted April 3, 2022 The frequency is in the navdata anyway, I entered BSO into the TUN page and it correctly tuned 110.00 - there's just no DME. 1
