Teebee Posted March 30, 2022 Report Posted March 30, 2022 Hi guys, Absolutely loving this aircraft, it really is way out there in a class of its own! I want to make more use of the HUD but can’t really make sense of what I’m seeing on it, especially the 2 circles! Can anyone give me some help or point me to a good guide/ video tutorial? Thanks 1 Quote
Li Qi Posted April 10, 2022 Report Posted April 10, 2022 i assume small is u ,and the big circle is what u after for, maintain small inside the big then u fly the aircraft correctly, the hud just converge the PFD parameters inside ur sightseeing,so u will get more focus to do the landing takeoff etc... rjb4000 Posted April 10, 2022 Report Posted April 10, 2022 The large circle is your flight path vector and the small circle is the flight director commanded FPV. If you align the large circle over the top of the small one, you’ll fly what the FD is commanding. 2 Quote
KirkR Posted August 16, 2022 Report Posted August 16, 2022 (edited) Searching for documentation of the HUD, the best I have found so far is a Collins document on smartcockpit.com that while not the exact same model, has the detailed definitions of the symbology that I believe are applicable (for our simulated world in the CL60). The display and symbology is pretty close (PRI mode). https://www.smartcockpit.com/docs/HGS_00_Pilots_Guide_CRJ_00.pdf This guide is located in the CRJ 700 documents (right side). Excerpt from section 4 follows (a few terms I wanted to read up on). Edited August 16, 2022 by KirkR 1 Quote
Lauramks2 Posted July 6 Report Posted July 6 What does the big circle, the little circle and the 2350 mean to me? Quote

Lauramks2 Posted July 8 Report Posted July 8 Thank you for the note. I started to think the little circle was the slip indicator but then noticed the tiny rectangle does that. Is there any written documents for using the HUD that you know of? The more I use it the better I get but it would cause less trial and error if I could read about it. Laura Quote

I have followed numerous posts and leads trying to get some good documentation. Your link worked and I found so much of what I needed. The note I found on the FD Sync button solved so many issues for me. Thanks. You never know when your input really pays off. This was helpful. :-) 1 Quote
