mraviator Posted February 27, 2022 Report Posted February 27, 2022 Over multiple flights I have been watching the oil quantity decrease on the engine state screen. Even though I fill it up with cold engines before a flight and the indication there shows full. It finally got to the point where I had to shut down the left engine during descent on the recent flight because it's nearly empty and went red. After landing, the quantity on the oil replenishment screen showed full. Is this a bug? Quote

rjb4000 Posted February 27, 2022 Report Posted February 27, 2022 Here’s an overview of the oil servicing system: You should not be adding oil to the airplane in its “cold” state. Time limits as shown on the placard are between 15 and 120 minutes after engine shutdown. I also believe you can add up to 2qts to each engine before dry-motoring is required. 2 Quote
mraviator Posted February 28, 2022 Author Report Posted February 28, 2022 Thank you both for the information and the video. I completely misunderstood the system, but have it now figured out and replenished oil. 1 Quote
