Mario Lopez Posted January 8, 2022 Report Posted January 8, 2022 What options have if we use NavDataPro from Aerosoft? NavDataPro - One year subscription: 13 datasets | Aerosoft US Shop Quote
amyinorbit Posted January 8, 2022 Report Posted January 8, 2022 Options for what? The navdata provided by Aerosoft should work as it is when you install it to X-Plane\Custom Data. As for charts, Aerosoft does not provide an API similar to Navigraph's, but you can still use FAA and AutoRouter charts (you can log into these services in the Challenger 650 settings window) Quote
Mario Lopez Posted January 8, 2022 Author Report Posted January 8, 2022 How could we get a current NAV DATA as we used to with Aerosoft? Quote
amyinorbit Posted January 8, 2022 Report Posted January 8, 2022 This procedure is explained in the FMS primer. You can select the secondary database by click LSK3L, then make it the active one by clicking LSK2L. (please note your custom NavdataPro database seems to be out of date by one cycle now) 1 Quote

Do you know why the SEC DATA is not showing? The second picture is from a Dornier 328, and it is showing the new FAA database. Any suggestions? Edited January 11, 2022 by chroode Quote
Graeme_77 Posted January 11, 2022 Report Posted January 11, 2022 Is the FAA data installed into Custom Data, or Default Data? If you don't mind please post a screenshot of your custom data and resources\default data in X-Plane Quote

I just downloaded the latest one yesterday. Edited January 11, 2022 by chroode Quote
Graeme_77 Posted January 11, 2022 Report Posted January 11, 2022 I understand, thanks. I've answered this now on your other thread, but using FAA CIFP data is not supported. The bulk of testing was carried out with Navigraph data and X-Plane stock data. Quote
chroode Posted January 11, 2022 Report Posted January 11, 2022 Darn it. Is there any chance of changing that? How much does FlightSim and Navigraph charge for their subsciption? Chris Quote
Graeme_77 Posted January 11, 2022 Report Posted January 11, 2022 It would be very low priority right now as it's a whole custom navdata system, and there have been no other requests. I think it's about €30/year for the Nav Data alone. I subscribe monthly for Nav Data and worldwide charts, which also work on the 650 MFD. 1 Quote
chroode Posted January 11, 2022 Report Posted January 11, 2022 Ok, thank you. This is getting to be an expensive hobby. Quote
Graeme_77 Posted January 11, 2022 Report Posted January 11, 2022 Tell me about it! But cheaper than the real thing by a substantial margin ;-) Quote
