Pocket Rocket crasches xplane

Dear Team,
on my Xplane 11.55 I am not able to run Pocket Rocket. Each time I try to load this aircraft Xplane will close and I need to start Xplane from beginning.

I see you have relatively new graphics drivers, what it working properly before you updated to those? I see something is preventing the synthetic vision from initializing.

Hi Coop,

The Pocket Rocket had worked well in the past, when I used to fly it by the end of 2019 and the middle of 2020. I just tryed recently to fly again but I met the issue. My Nvidia drivers are updating each time there is a new version of them. I don't have problems with other aircraft even if they are provided win synthetic view in G1000 (such as  PA-28-181 Archer TX/LX XP from JustFlight or Kodiak Quest G1000 from Thranda).

Hi Antonio,

This seems to be a specific issue to your install, as we can't replicate it on our end. I'd recommend trying a different graphics card driver.

I have the same problem with Pocket Rocket. I loaded the oldest NVIDIA driver compatible with Windows 11 and it still won't work.
The X-Plane 11.55 start-up screen simply disappears briefly after the plane starts loading. Log file attached.

I have removed directory "pr_systems" from Pocket Rocket\plugins. Now I can fly the plane, but the synthetic vision doesn't work, of course.

I'm not sure on the drivers, unless there is something specific with the current drivers, I'd probably recommend the latest drivers. I'm DMing you a file to test with to see if it fixes the issue.

think i have a similar issue.  trying to load the pocketrocket with AMD driver 22.7.1 (newest) on Win11 in Vulcan.
i need this new driver because the longterm issue with flickering in VR seem solved (at least for the SR22, good news)

aircraft loads but pocketrocket plugin is disabled. no button works. As soon as i enable the plugin,  XP11 hangs up.

XP12 is coming very soon so we can wait until then but if you have an idea would be great.

From the log.txt file, it appears the synthetic vision system is failing to load with this driver. Unfortunately that is something that is out of our control, as it appears this driver doesn't contain the necessary OpenGL calls for SVS.

sorry was out over the weekend.   have tried the SR22 - G1000, same driver.  aircraft is loading and working. but Syntetic Visoin is not available either. so you are right SVS calls do not work.

but in contrary to the Pocketrocket, the SR22 is working, plugin is loading, aircraft control panel is available.  But aircraft without SVS.

with the pocketrocket the full aircraft is not working ! plugin is not loading, not a single button is working (VR or non Vr does not matter). starting the PR is impossible
the long term problem with flickering in VR is solved with this latest driver finally.

any chance to get the PR (plugin) at least running without SVS ?

where is the difference between the SR22-G1000 and the PR !  here is log for SR22 - G1000 to compare.

From the SR22, you can try copying the 'svs.dll' file from sr_systems/win_x64 into the pr_systems/win_x64.

does not work. plugin is not loading, all buttons dead. no PR window.  also removing the svs.dll does not help. files seem to be identical.

seem AMD is rewriting their OpenGL driver completely.  so seem wip. many vendor extensions are currently missing.  
lets see what AMD improves in upcoming driver versions.

good news !  in xp11 with AMD adrenalin driver 22.9.1 Syntetiic vision is back.  no shaking in VR.

and pocket rocket is loading again.  incl SVS too

so all good after.... 1-2 years AMD got its driver problems solved!
