Rafael Fernandez Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 Well for the mean time, Im creating my pylons in AC3D Quote
gilbenl Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 I suggest you reconsider how you did the wingbox. You cannot use the method I discussed in the tutorial only (I will finish it today), but its typically not a good idea to make the wingbox a solid block. It should be apart of the fuse. Quote
Rafael Fernandez Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 I know its not a good Idea. But I dont know how to in AC3D and my backround photos dont show in Blender so I cant use your method. Quote
Airbus Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 Your path files must be incorrect.Re install Blender and see what happens. Quote
Rafael Fernandez Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 I did.....Here are the 3d engine pylons Quote
Rafael Fernandez Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 More Progress. Im texturing the fan blades. They will be spinning. The nose part of the fan will not be just the backround. Im texturing now so I can see them spinning in x-plane. Quote
Rafael Fernandez Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 More texturing of the nacelles. The blue is from a photo I found on the net, I put it in Gimp and did what I had to then Textured the model. Now to X-plane. Quote
mick431 Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 I know your sick and tired of blender, but one last thing... Mine don't show up either till I zoom out/in. Quote
Goran_M Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 lol, I should have remembered that. Sometimes the background photo loads up really small and you have to zoom in to it. Quote
mick431 Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 lol, I should have remembered that. Sometimes the background photo loads up really small and you have to zoom in to it.Not only that, but for me it doesn't show up at all until there is some action. Quote
Rafael Fernandez Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 I just tried it... Epic Fail. Here is progress on spinning fan blades. They show up kind of wierd because of youtube but If you have fast comp, No problem seeing it and you can watch in HD Quote
mick431 Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 Alright, sorry to bore you with my replies, but you also have to be in orthographic mode for them to appear. Quote
Rafael Fernandez Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 No boring just helpful. Its just I cant seem to get them to work. Quote
Rafael Fernandez Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 More engine shots. Notice Ive redone some parts Quote
gilbenl Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 Such a promising start...until impatience got involved. Slow down before you end up having to do the whole dat gum thing over again. What's the point of a learning project if you don't learn to do it right? Quote
Goran_M Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 Rafael, SLOW DOWN.You're developing a hi res 3D aircraft. Not a pizza. I'm afraid if you keep rushing this, it WILL come out as a pizza.Goran Quote
Rafael Fernandez Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 haha. Actually Im not really rushing. Today I got only what the photo has done nothing else. Plus Nick said this is going to be a terd with wings because Its my first Plane. So no im not rushing this project, Just trying to make it look good. Quote
Rafael Fernandez Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 I dont know if you live in America, But California Pizza Kitchen has the best pizza in the states, Traditional cheese neopolitan style :DDDDD yum.. Quote
Rafael Fernandez Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 Also If some peeps could do me a favor, The Embraer 195 is a very underated aircraft. So Im veryyy limited to photos, I need Landing Gear close ups, and Engine close ups. Please post any on here because I cant seem to find any at all. Help Please Quote
Goran_M Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 I've looked at some photos of an ERJ 195.The fans are a lot deeper in the engine, perhaps even close to half way down the nacelle, the nacelle walls are thicker and they bulge in the centre then narrow down towards the rear. They also look smaller than what you have modelled.http://www.airliners.net/photo/Baboo/Embraer-ERJ-190-100LR-190LR/1543169/L/ Quote
Goran_M Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 Also, please don't take this the wrong way as I love to see people achieve something. But you can't ask people to research and get photos for you unless they are a part of your inner team and you are willing to do something for them.I do know someone who owns a Hawker 4000 but I'm not going to expect him to take photos of it for me and then drive the photos over to my house. He told me, whenever I'm ready and he's in town, to come down to the airport and get all the photos I want. Ultimately, it's MY responsibility to get what I need for this project. If someone else is willing to help, I will gladly accept their offer and if I am TRULY stuck on something, only then will I ask. airliners.net returned a massive amount of hits for the ERJ 195.Over 6000 photos. That's hardly underrated. And that was the first web site I went to.Rafael, hi res add ons can take at least some months before even going into beta testing. PMDG took 8 years from conception to release of their MD11. Quote
Rafael Fernandez Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 Thanks Goran, Yeah I supposed I went a little overboard. Im going to fix those Engines. And My plane will be nowhere near PMDG quality. Maybe like X737 quality or less and it will get better as I learn. Quote
Airbus Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 You sould try a place here in St.Louis called IMOS its the best in town.Try using Flickr for images, and search for the 170 also. Quote
Rafael Fernandez Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 OH THANK YOU these are perfect .! Thanks so much. Quote
