Mako2410 Posted July 13, 2020 Report Posted July 13, 2020 Hello everybody! I have the problem that after updating to version 1.32 no flaps can be set. The lever jumps back to 0 immediately after choosing a flaps level. Greetings from Germany Martin Quote
Dozo Posted July 13, 2020 Report Posted July 13, 2020 Hello Martin, Do you have hardware attached to your sim PC, like Saitek panels or something? Is the hardware set to 'Flaps 0' maybe? Regards Quote

In fact, one axis of the Saitek Throttle Quadrant was configured for flaps. For whatever reason. ;-) All is well again! Have a nice day! 1 Quote
diyceejay Posted February 15, 2022 Report Posted February 15, 2022 Can anybody help please? Two levers on my saitek throttle quadrant were set up for flap deployment and spoilers, but have now stopped working, despite the throttle lever still functioning. I can deploy both flaps and spoilers manually in the cockpit. What could have happened please? With thanks Quote
Litjan Posted February 16, 2022 Report Posted February 16, 2022 Hmm, can you pinpoint what you have done on your system (installed new stuff, etc.) between when it worked and now? For what its worth, the spoiler and flaps are best operated with "buttons" - because they go into distinct detents or positions and are not designed to be moved "gradually". So assigning buttons to extend or retract them notch for notch works best. Otherwise you will have to carefully juggle the assigned lever to hit the correct detent - which is important, because some logic of the aircraft systems (warnings, autospoiler, etc.) depend on the positions being exact. It *should* work with a lever as well, though. Make sure that you don´t have FSUIPC installed (or only the compatible version, which is not the latest). If all else fails, deleting the contents of your "X-Plane 11/outpu/preferences" folder can help, but note that you will reset all options to default (including joystick profiles etc.) when doing that. Cheers, Jan Quote
diyceejay Posted February 16, 2022 Report Posted February 16, 2022 Hi Jan, I did install some luascripts and xchecklist, which I have now removed, as well as the contents of the preferences folder. XPUIPC was installed as well previously, which I have now removed too. That seems to have done the trick - thank you! Christopher Quote
Litjan Posted February 16, 2022 Report Posted February 16, 2022 Hi Christopher, yes, FSUIPC seems to be problematic, although most people have problems with the thrust levers not working anymore...lua scripts could be as well, or maybe just some hickup with the preference files... Maybe you can start to slowly bring stuff back and watch for when it stops working. Good luck, Jan Quote
mjrhealth Posted February 16, 2022 Report Posted February 16, 2022 depends on what ver xuipc you use , one does cause issues. 1 Quote
diyceejay Posted February 16, 2022 Report Posted February 16, 2022 So after a day of dabbling it seems the culprit is the flywithlua add-on 'practical 737'....the one with call outs, FO qnh setting etc and checklist. Great add on but not one I'm prepared to sacrifice my levers for! Quote
Litjan Posted February 17, 2022 Report Posted February 17, 2022 Hi Christopher, thanks for reporting back on this - it might help others with the same problem! Quote
