Sorry if this is a "known issue", but with Skymaxx I am getting occasional freezing of the sim for a full 3-4 seconds assuming it is checking weather or something. I've tested on and off and it does not happen without skymax. Running xplane 11.50 b9 with vulkan.

Personally, during hours of testing I’ve never seen a pause of 3-4 seconds, I Vulkan I haven’t seen any pauses as weather transitions....

With that said, I believe you but chances are it has to do with the beta, possibly your hardware in the beta....

As 11.50 progresses if using RWC, try switching to “never change visible weather” from the rwc menu to see if that works..

If you're running tight on memory (which is likely under Vulkan) what may be going on is that memory is swapping as we load up new weather conditions.

"Never change visible weather" should make that happen less often and is worth a shot. If that doesn't help, try reducing your cloud area setting in SMP to reduce the number of clouds it needs to generate. Or you could free up memory in other ways, for example reducing your AA settings.

For some reason I cannot find the settings 'never change to visible weather.' Is this setting found before I load up the sim or within the plugins menu?  Also, Not that it cannot happen but I have 8Gig video card (amd 5700 rx) and skymaxx almost always shows that i have at least 3000mb vram free with free normal ram as well. I have it set to 10k km coverage.

As you have not purchased Real Weather Connector, this option isn't available to you.

AMD stats are known to not be very reliable. They don't give the same stat access that NVidia seems to provide.

Ok thank you for letting me know. Correct that I don't have the RWC. I can live with the freezes, it's not too bad. If anyone else has recommendations on how to fix, let me know. I hope you guys will keep making improvements to SkyMaxx and keep up with all the x-plane changes, it's very nice and now x-plane is better than ever with Vulkan.
