I'm getting about 40-50 FPS while in the air, so that's way better than expected! My avionics, however, are lagging. Is this on purpose to save frames?

This would be your CPU running both cores (since you're on a dual core) at 100% likely. As such, it's reaching its maximum and trying to keep up. People with more than two cores will likely never see this issue.

Aha. Well, I'm probably going to buy a quad-core iMac with twice the VRAM soon, so that should take care of it.

Sure would! :(

Even still, on a dual core you get rather used to that lag pretty quick and it is more than manageable to fly. I was in the same boat! :o

Yeah, the iMac should do it. As long as you handle the plane well though, the lag isn't too bad.

Well, you guys did it! I'll be honest; I didn't think the installers would be that much of an advantage. After seeing how fast it worked, I realized that it WAS and advantage after all. The multi-core stuff is amazing, as it is outperforming the SSJ, the ERJ, and the Dash by a little. Very professional work...

Open a popup - you will see no lag there.

It's a tradeoff. The 3d-gauges will refresh slightly slower in order to save frames. If you open a 2d popup however, refresh rate for this window will be boosted - because popup means you need super-precise output.

I actually did get some lag even with the pop-ups, but it's manageable!  :D

Can anyone upload some video with this "laggy" 3d-avionics? Because it's difficult to understand how fast is refresh rate on gauges on dual core cpu. I also have a dual core cpu and I like x-plane for it's smooth gauges. So, it is quite important thing to me. Of course it is a good option for them, who have quad core systems, but I am not planning to upgrade my pc in the following year.

It's manageable. I would recommend that you upgrade your PC though. Apple has a Intel i5 Quad Core for $1200! :D That's what I'll probably get some day.

I'll shoot a really quick video and show you though.

Thanks in advance for recording video!

But $1200 is a little bit too much for new system and i5.. It's much better to buy custom made i7 sandy bridge desktop pc for $500-600. Apple stuff is so overpriced...

Well on a PC, you have a higher chance of getting a virus. I do think Macs are a little too much, but hey, people are still buying them like crazy. I think you would be really happy in a Mac though...

Funny statement, especially since it's posted in a thread discussing the most expensive payware aircraft for X-Plane.  Overpriced for some.....and others understand the value.

Of course it is overpriced! I only use macbook, because of it's led-display, aluminium body, backlight buttons and very good programs. It's for sure the most valuable notebook in the market. But desktop is a different thing... I use desktop computer only just for games. And there are almost no games for mac... So my choise is macbook and pc-desktop.

It's so strange, that all other aircraft have smooth gauges and this superb aircraft have smooth gauges only on quad core cpu's...

Great idea to upgrade the computer! I didn't knew it, thanks, Captain Obvious...  ;D
