Maxime Posted April 17, 2011 Author Report Posted April 17, 2011 Does "Flash storage, and a spinning hard drive" have to do anything with this issue? Quote
Oliver Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 You're being very vagues as to what the "problem" is causing... what FPS are you getting? The main reason is probably because you have an 1920x1080 pixel screen vs a 1366x768 pixel screen. I run a 1920x1080 pixel 21.5 inch screen with 1Gb vram Nvidia 9500GT, and X-Plane works flawlessly. Your main issue here I think is your lack of vram. 256mb Vram for an 1920x1080 screen just doesn't sound like it's enough. Quote
Maxime Posted April 17, 2011 Author Report Posted April 17, 2011 Oh Ok, thanks ;DCan the graphic card be updated? Quote
eaglewing7 Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 No, iMac video cards cannot be upgraded. What is more important is the rendering options used. Post a screenshot of the rendering options on your iMac. Quote
Maxime Posted April 17, 2011 Author Report Posted April 17, 2011 Here it is,i get high frames in some planes at these settings... Quote
Ben Russell Posted April 18, 2011 Report Posted April 18, 2011 Macbook air: renders 1,049,088 pixelsiMac: renders 2,073,600 pixels.iMac is doing almost 2x the work. Quote
Maxime Posted April 18, 2011 Author Report Posted April 18, 2011 Understood! ;DThanks guys for informing me about this!!!Best,Maxime Quote
eaglewing7 Posted April 18, 2011 Report Posted April 18, 2011 Also, look at the total rendered textures size, it is over 300mb, which is over the capacity of your video cards 256mb... Turn down the rendering options, and you will get better results. Quote
