The live webcast of the takeoff showed the 747-8 takeoff from Payne Field in Everett, Washington this morning at 10:00 am (17:00 GMT). The landing will be streamed live when the plane lands at Boeing Field in Seattle, Washington, about four hours after takeoff on today's first test flight. The landing can be watched live at http://www.newairplane.com/747/incredible/

The live webcast is scheduled for 14:00 local time in Seattle (21:00 GMT)

Video of both events will be available on the web site for later viewing.

Enjoy!

How did it look? I'll watch later, on my flash capable pc.

Now I'm dreaming of a formation flyby of that and the 787, both in the blue livery. Wow.

I agree with Nout, it is such a vibrant colour and since I live in Countries where everything is either Green, Yellow or Orange, I despise the last two colours. Boeing's blue was so much better

Why why why why why orange....

"New Sunrise livery honors cultures where those colors mean prosperity & good luck"....read China

Which is also why it's the -8 rather than the -500 or -600 or any of the other numbers associated with previous attempts to enbiggenate the 747-400. Also why the A380 isn't the A350 or A360, and why the first (and so far only) A380 is the A380-800. 8 is a lucky number in the far east!

It's a bit sad if any of the aircraft-buying population of the far east are taken in by such shallow marketing though. Unless it's meant to be a symbol of how much Airbus and Boeing are committed to the far eastern market now.
