MaidenFan Posted March 20, 2011 Report Posted March 20, 2011 What a beautiful and amazing aircraft. It's great to see her come back in a newer form. I thought 747's were going to be phased out for good, but it looks like it has a new beginning. Quote
Simmo W Posted March 20, 2011 Report Posted March 20, 2011 How did it look? I'll watch later, on my flash capable pc. Now I'm dreaming of a formation flyby of that and the 787, both in the blue livery. Wow. Quote

samen Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 I agree with Nout, it is such a vibrant colour and since I live in Countries where everything is either Green, Yellow or Orange, I despise the last two colours. Boeing's blue was so much better Quote
Simmo W Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 It doesn't bother me, but yes, that blue livery was definitely a 21st century look, as against nasty 70s. At least they didn't try this: Quote
NoutvanZon Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 Even my little brother noted that Boeing's colour should be blue, and the 747-8F looks gorgeous in blue... Quote
samen Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 If that is a low cost airline they went really low cost with that paint. Quote
Dozer Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 Quote Quote Why why why why why orange...."New Sunrise livery honors cultures where those colors mean prosperity & good luck"....read ChinaWhich is also why it's the -8 rather than the -500 or -600 or any of the other numbers associated with previous attempts to enbiggenate the 747-400. Also why the A380 isn't the A350 or A360, and why the first (and so far only) A380 is the A380-800. 8 is a lucky number in the far east! It's a bit sad if any of the aircraft-buying population of the far east are taken in by such shallow marketing though. Unless it's meant to be a symbol of how much Airbus and Boeing are committed to the far eastern market now. Quote
