Greaser Posted October 28, 2018 Report Posted October 28, 2018 So I have an active VNAV profile, but I don't see TOD on the map. In cruise mode, I reduced the target altitude, watch the minutes and seconds count down to zero in the VNAV profile, but it does not descend. Quote
JetNoise Posted October 28, 2018 Report Posted October 28, 2018 Vnav armed?Oliver Gesendet von meinem SM-T810 mit Tapatalk Quote
Jakobb Posted October 28, 2018 Report Posted October 28, 2018 I have the same problem on my iMac. It will only descend on the VNAV when I start with VS or FLC and then arm VNAV. Quote
danhenri Posted October 28, 2018 Report Posted October 28, 2018 As said in another post, to enter the VNAV mode, the new altitude must be set less than 5mn before the TOD (as the real thing : see Garmin manual). I am on Mac too, and it works very well. 1 Quote

Jakobb Posted October 28, 2018 Report Posted October 28, 2018 that could explain my issue with it thanks! Quote
jouwnaam Posted October 28, 2018 Report Posted October 28, 2018 Also; don't forget to confirm the altitudes on the vnav page. as long as you don't (by selecting + ent for all the altitudes) they are just references and it won't work. 2 Quote
Greaser Posted October 28, 2018 Author Report Posted October 28, 2018 Got it working now thanks. The only thing was it leveled off at 11,000 ft and I don't know why, still trying to figure that out as I didn't see any constraints at that altitude. Another thing, my Forum password never works and I have to reset it Every day. Several Emails to Support and Nothing from them and No Fix. Always have to Reset the Password. Why ???? Quote
cpuwolf Posted October 28, 2018 Report Posted October 28, 2018 you should learn philips' video about G1000 VNAV, this is nothing to do with TBM Quote
Jakobb Posted October 29, 2018 Report Posted October 29, 2018 As you can see form those pictures, I have an active VNAV path that is less than 5 minutes from being activated, yet I don't see any TOD indication. VNAV intercept worked fine Quote
ToxicResonance Posted October 29, 2018 Report Posted October 29, 2018 I don't see a TOD indicator on mine either. Quote
cmbaviator Posted October 29, 2018 Report Posted October 29, 2018 same here, only works when intercepting Quote
Jakobb Posted October 29, 2018 Report Posted October 29, 2018 so I take it, any kind of TOD/BOD indicator is missing Quote
MMcCl Posted October 29, 2018 Report Posted October 29, 2018 What does the FMA on the Captain's PFD say? Does it show that VNAV path is armed or active? Quote
Jakobb Posted October 30, 2018 Report Posted October 30, 2018 couldn't have been active because otherwise BOD and not TOD would have been shown Quote
