I've a good friend in Laidley about to have his second flood in 4 yrs. I heard that the flooded area was larger than France and Germany, and that was a few days ago. Brisbanes river banks broke yesterday and the order was placed to evacuate the CBD.The worst flood in 35 years. Back then, the Brisbane river peaked at 20 meters. These floods have it peaked at 21 meters and still climbing. Pretty serious considering the deepest point is about 12 meters (40 feet).At least 10 people have died (including 4 children) at last count.
