Tom Stian Posted December 5, 2016 Report Posted December 5, 2016 Hi all. I made a simple (dirty) LUA script for V-speed callouts. V1 and Vr are based on the speed bugs you set, and V2 are based on what you have dialed in on the MCP. Im not done with the script, but wonder if it is any interest for it ? 3 Quote
chrisru Posted December 6, 2016 Report Posted December 6, 2016 It's cool! But it's work with bugs ar with speed on MCP? Where we can get it Quote

Looking for some free .wav files (80kts, v1, vr and v2) that I can put in the package. But the scripting is almost done. Quote
Tom Stian Posted December 6, 2016 Author Report Posted December 6, 2016 (edited) Script is done. I only need some wav-files for the callouts, 80knots, V1, Vrotate and V2. If anyone know about some good freeware files I can include in the package, then let me know Edited December 6, 2016 by Tom Stian Quote
xplana Posted December 6, 2016 Report Posted December 6, 2016 why not simply record the soundfiles? :-) Quote

xplana Posted December 6, 2016 Report Posted December 6, 2016 You could ask people here in the forum to record those 4 words and tell what country they come from. There is a webservice that allows to record something online and save it instantly as a audio file. Its fast and easy. (http://vocaroo.com) You could then associate the files with airlines (liveries). So, a Lufthansa 737 PNF would then get that famous german accent, a United PNF the "unique" american ... and the french, o lala :-) Why not call for recordings/files here and now :-) Quote
xplana Posted December 6, 2016 Report Posted December 6, 2016 German accent, Set number 1 (But this can be scrapped, since wen expect Jan´s input) V2.mp3 V1.mp3 rotate.mp3 Quote

xplana Posted December 6, 2016 Report Posted December 6, 2016 this should really be done by a real airline pilot, it somehow feels inappropriate :-) posrate.mp3 gear up.mp3 80 knots.mp3 1 Quote

xplana Posted December 6, 2016 Report Posted December 6, 2016 supreme +1 :-)! Now, only the french, spanisch, american, russian, chinese.. accents are missing Folks, where are your submissions? It would be a great one as well, if the sound could somehow be spacially classified. So, if the First officer does the call outs, this would slightly lead to hearing his voice more from the right audio speaker :-) :-) Quote

xplana Posted December 6, 2016 Report Posted December 6, 2016 :-) not at all oh wait, there is one more (i assure the last) thing that came into my mind: Sometimes they say "thrust set". Not sure if it would be right to just map "thrust set" to that button ??: ok, thats it! Thanks a lot :-) I am not going to mention the sound randomization they bring with XP11 (http://www.x-plane.com/2016/11/fmod-sound-x-plane-11/) :==) Quote

Maybe I can improve it later. 1 Quote
