z0civic Posted August 2, 2016 Report Posted August 2, 2016 I've been experiencing this same issue. Changing anything in the FMC results in terrible stuttering until I finally am able to hit the EXEC key. I find it strange that Windows Defender would be causing this and suddenly wanting to rapidly and repeatedly scan the X-Plane directories... I haven't had the issue with any other aircraft? Nonetheless, I will try adding an exception to Windows Defender next time around and see if that fixes it for me as well. Quote
Rodeo Posted August 2, 2016 Report Posted August 2, 2016 I have a vague suspicion that the micro-stutters (which is a separate issue from this one) and this may be caused by the plugin writing some temporary/non-persistent information to disk when it should ideally just be kept in RAM. Quote
Litjan Posted August 2, 2016 Report Posted August 2, 2016 My guess is that these virus scanners are trying to keep an eye on all in and out traffic. When the route enters a MOD stage, we access other folders in the x-plane installation (earth_fix.dat, etc.)... Jan Quote
mosquito3 Posted August 2, 2016 Report Posted August 2, 2016 Hallo! I was having the same annoying issues (lags and stutters) when entering data in the perf page and, expecially during flight, when editing route. I tryied to exclude the whole x-plane folder from Microsoft Security Essential ad it worked like a charm! It was my only one complain about this plane, many thanks guys! Cheers Francesco Quote
